WASHINGTON, DC: Manhattan prosecutor Susan Hoffinger who questioned Stormy Daniels about her purported sexual encounter with Donald Trump on May 7 has a long record of supporting Democrats with donations, including Joe Biden's 2020 presidential campaign, the New York Post reports.

Hoffinger contributed $250 to the Biden campaign in February 2020 and another $250 the following month, per Election Commission records.

Susan Hoffinger reportedly donated to Biden’s 2020 campaign

Hoffinger donated $500 to the Biden campaign and more than $900 to ActBlue during the 2020 election season. She was employed by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg in 2022.

Many liberal groups and Democratic politicians use ActBlue as their fundraising tool. According to FEC documents, Hoffinger appears to have donated only to Democrats since 2004. Her initial contributions were made to Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry.

Hoffinger's political contributions were initially covered by Fox News. Daniels made several obscene allegations during Hoffinger's line of questioning regarding her purported 2006 sexual encounter with Trump, including the assertion that she slapped him "right on the butt" with a magazine.

Todd Blanche, the Trump defense lawyer, called Daniels' testimony "prejudicial" and requested that Judge Juan Merchan order a mistrial. Merchan turned down the defense's request, citing Hoffinger's argument that the allegation lacked merit.

Moreover, it has also been found that several prosecutors engaged in Bragg's hush money case against Trump had political affiliations.

Former President Barack Obama received a $400 donation from Matthew Colangelo, who joined Bragg's office in 2022 as senior counsel in the Trump case. In 2018, the Democratic National Committee paid Colangelo $12,000 in 'political consulting' fees, according to FEC records.

Colangelo was earlier Biden's Justice Department's third-ranking officer. Jim Jordan, the chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, requested documents from Colangelo's tenure at the Justice Department last week.
