PALM BEACH, FLORIDA: The Trump campaign is reportedly facing significant internal turmoil following the former president's recent press conference, with key members expressing "major concerns" about his mental health.

These worries come in the wake of Donald Trump's controversial statements during the event, which have left many questioning his cognitive abilities, as reported by The Raw Story.

Lev Parnas, a former associate of Rudy Giuliani and a key figure in Trump’s first impeachment investigation, took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to shed light on the growing anxiety within Trump's camp.

Lev Parnas reveals Donald Trump's team is having 'major concerns' about his mental health

Lev Parnas claimed that the former president's retelling of a debunked story involving a supposed helicopter emergency landing with California politician Willie Brown has sent shockwaves through his campaign team.

"There are major concerns within the Trump campaign about his mental health and decline following his recent press conference," Parnas posted on Friday, August 9.

He went on to describe how the team is in "panic mode" due to Trump's apparent cognitive decline, as evidenced by the questionable narrative he shared with the media.

Parnas also highlighted the intensity of the discussions taking place within the campaign, noting that Trump's story about the non-existent helicopter incident has sparked serious debates about the next steps for addressing his mental health.

“This incident has led to discussions within the campaign about potential next steps regarding Trump’s mental health,” he wrote, adding that the situation is causing deep concern about its impact on Trump's political future.

While Parnas' claims have stirred up a frenzy, not everyone in Trump's circle shares the same concerns.

Stephen Miller, a former White House aide and one of Trump's staunchest allies, launched a media offensive portraying the press conference as a "master class performance" by Trump. This stark contrast in perspectives within Trump's team suggests a growing divide over how to handle the issue.

Parnas' use of the hashtag #TrumpMeltdown quickly gained traction on X, with over 94,000 posts discussing the topic by late Friday morning. The term became a focal point for online discourse, as users shared their thoughts on Trump's mental state and the implications for his campaign.

Parnas, who is no stranger to controversy, was sentenced in 2022 to 22 months in prison for fraud and campaign finance violations linked to a Florida-based business.

He previously assisted Giuliani in connecting with Ukrainian officials as part of efforts to dig up dirt on President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, NPR reported at the time.

Despite his checkered past, Parnas remains a vocal critic of Trump and his inner circle, often positioning himself as a whistleblower of sorts within the "Post-Cult of Trump" movement.

The concerns raised by Parnas are not entirely unfounded, as psychological experts have long speculated about signs of cognitive decline in Trump’s speaking style.

An analysis conducted by STAT, a media outlet focused on health, examined Trump's speech patterns and identified a phenomenon known as tangentiality—jumping from one topic to another with little or no connection—as a possible indicator of cognitive deterioration.

Donald Trump attracts trolling in wake of his alleged mental decline

As news of Donald Trump's alleged mental decline spread, social media users were quick to weigh in, with many taking the opportunity to troll him.

One X user commented, "He’s falling apart and will continue to fall. Keep on him, he can’t handle this!" Another added, "Some people are saying. MOST PEOPLE ARE SEEING."

"#TrumpMeltdown continues. Can anyone tell him to move on please, lol. He thought he had it in the bag with #Biden but he really didn't. Now he is losing his mind with #HarrisWalz2024 cry baby," a user stated.

Another user speculated on Trump’s potential downfall: "Too bad he would never do the honorable thing like Biden did because he knows if he loses the election he’s going to jail. He is a desperate man and desperate men do desperate things. Crazy s**t to come."

One commenter contrasted Biden and Trump, writing, "Joe Biden, a good man who loves this country, made the sacrifice. Trump has none of those qualities - he only cares about himself. Stop fooling yourself. He will never step aside no matter what his aides say."

Another pointed to the inevitability of Trump’s condition worsening, saying, "It's been obvious for years, and this condition never gets better. It only gets worse."

"Let him keep going out there shooting his mouth off! And all his fat lies. He belongs in a mental institution," one user wrote. Another added, "Trump is a deranged far right extremist with significant mental incompetence. He is an existential threat to democracy."
