WASHINGTON, DC: President Donald Trump has once again targeted Representative Ilhan Omar, urging her to “leave the country.” On Saturday, November 1, he posted on Truth Social, “She should go back!” along with a video of Omar. The clip quickly drew attention across social media platforms.

This isn’t the first time Trump has made such comments about Omar. He has repeatedly used similar rhetoric in the past. As of now, Omar and her office have not responded to Trump’s latest remarks.

Donald Trump’s latest jab at Ilhan Omar came without warning. It remains unclear where the video he shared was recorded, though similar clips of the Minnesota congresswoman have circulated on right-leaning social media accounts in recent weeks. Trump’s post quickly gained traction, gathering over 7,000 reposts and nearly 20,000 likes by Sunday, November 2.

Soon after, several of Trump’s MAGA allies, including conservative activist Laura Loomer, amplified his post across social media. The same video had been circulating among conservative commentators and activists for at least two weeks before Trump’s post.

Omar, born in Somalia, fled the country’s civil war as a child. After spending four years in a Kenyan refugee camp, she and her family moved to the United States in 1995. She became a US citizen in 2000 and was later elected to Congress, representing Minnesota’s 5th District.

This latest attack is part of Trump’s ongoing criticism of Omar. Back on September 19, the former president lashed out at her on Truth Social, attacking both her background and her political views.

He wrote, “Ilhan Omar’s country of Somalia is plagued by a lack of central government control, persistent poverty, hunger, resurgent terrorism, piracy, decades of civil war, corruption, and pervasive violence.”

He continued, “Seventy percent of the population lives in extreme poverty and faces widespread food insecurity. Somalia is consistently ranked among the world’s most corrupt countries.”

Trump then added, “All of this, and Ilhan Omar tells us how to run America! P.S. Wasn’t she the one who married her brother to gain citizenship? What scum we have in our country telling us what to do. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”

Days earlier, Trump had also referred to Omar as “a disgraceful person” and “a loser” during a conversation in the Oval Office. He claimed, “It’s amazing the way people vote. I think she’s disgusting.”

His comments followed Omar’s dismissal of tributes to slain conservative activist Charlie Kirk. She reportedly called Kirk “a hateful man” and told his supporters, “You’re full of s**t.”
