FEASTERVILLE, PENNSYLVANIA: Former President Donald Trump wore an apron and prepared fries at a McDonald's in Feasterville-Trevose, Pennsylvania, on Sunday, October 20. While attending to the drive-thru, he criticized Kamala Harris, claiming she "lied" about her employment at the fast-food chain during her college years.

"I've now worked for 15 minutes more than Kamala at McDonald's," Trump joked.

Amid his "new job," a photo surfaced of a notice posted on one of the restaurant's doors, announcing that the outlet was closed on Sunday because of Trump's visit.

Trump's McDonald's visit sparks controversy as claims of staged event surface online

A viral video showed Trump making fries at Feasterville-Trevose's McDonald's outlet; he donned an apron, operated the fry cooker with an employee's assistance, and distributed food at the drive-thru window.

Online users are circulating a claim that the outlet where Trump served as a fry cook at McDonald's was shut down on the day in question, referencing a shared circular.

The circular read, "Dear Feasterville Community. We plan to be closed on Sunday, October 20 until 4 p.m., to accommodate a visit at the request of former President Trump and his campaign."

It further stated, "While we are not a political organization, we proudly open our doors to everyone and as a locally owned and operated location, this visit provides a unique opportunity to shine a light on the positive impact of small businesses here in Feasterville."

Another piece of evidence surfaced: a visibly closed McDonald's outlet with no customers around except for a Secret Service officer who appeared to be screening "fake" customers. Images also showed individuals "rehearsing" at the drive-thru before Trump's visit.

Moreover, observers noted the presence of Secret Service agents atop surrounding buildings.

When inquired about the reason for Trump's visit to McDonald's in Pennsylvania, his campaign spokesperson Steven Cheung informed Forbes that it was “because the people of Pennsylvania matter and jobs matter, something Kamala Harris refuses to acknowledge.”

Internet slams Donald Trump for staging his McDonald's visit

These reports sparked an outrage that Trump's visit to McDonald's was "staged." Sharing the outlet circular, a user commented, "So the place wasn’t even open. It was all staged and fake. He didn’t work for real at a McDonalds. It was a staged fraud just like every other event."

Another user explained the scene, "It was all staged! Trump did NOT work! McDonald’s closed & there was even a car rehearsal for "customers" who had been vetted & cleared by the campaign. 'We plan to be closed on Sunday, October 20 until 4:00pm to accommodate a visit at the request of former President Donald Trump and his campaign.'"

The post further read, "For the record, Kamala Harris worked at a McDonald’s in Alameda, California, during the summer of 1983. She was a student at Howard University at the time and worked the register, as well as the french fry and ice cream machines."

The third commentator shared images of the outlet, which appeared to be deserted, "The entire McDonalds stunt with Donald Trump was staged with fake customers at a store that wasn’t even open."

A critic wrote, "Dude, you actually thought @realDonaldTrump was hired by McDonald’s? You guys are idiots!"

“Wait Trump went from saying she was lying about working there to fake-working there in a desperate attempt to one-up her?” a Reddit user commented.

One said, "He was never going to work. He's never bothered to a day in his life, so why start now? But apparently the effort of having to fake work was too difficult so he faked even having to do that."

"Well he's ranting about Kamala never having worked at McDonald's on Truth Social literally right now so my guess is your assumption is correct," mocked a redditor.
