PALM BEACH, FLORIDA: A four-mile stretch of Southern Boulevard in Palm Beach now bears the name President Donald J. Trump Boulevard, marking a symbolic tribute to President Donald Trump just miles from his Mar-a-Lago residence.
The renaming was formally celebrated during a road dedication ceremony held Friday, January 16, at Mar-a-Lago, where Trump appeared alongside Florida lawmakers and local officials who backed the initiative. The roadway serves as Trump’s primary route between Palm Beach International Airport and his private club, a path he regularly travels during weekend visits.

The newly designated President Donald J. Trump Boulevard runs along Southern Boulevard, a major thoroughfare frequently lined with supporters during Trump’s arrivals and departures. Florida officials approved the name change after a legislative push led by Republican lawmakers.
Standing before the newly installed street signage, Trump acknowledged the moment with visible appreciation. “That’s a serious sign,” he said, later adding, “It’s beautiful. Thank you. Wow, it’s the real deal.”

Florida lawmakers and officials praised for renaming boulevard after Trump
The renaming followed months of coordination between state legislators and local officials. Florida State Representative Meg Weinberger, who sponsored the measure, said the effort faced procedural hurdles before receiving final approval.
Trump used the occasion to recognize Joe Abruzzo for his role in seeing the project through, praising his administrative work and leadership.
“There’s nobody better in the whole country at what he does,” Trump said, commending Abruzzo’s experience and attention to detail.
The road dedication places Trump among a small number of presidents with public infrastructure named in their honor during their lifetime, further cementing his imprint on the Palm Beach area he has called home for decades.
