Trump warns 'radical left' is stoking 'inner chaos' to distract from Iran tensions at airports

WASHINGTON, DC: President Donald Trump on Wednesday, March 25, sharply criticized congressional Democrats over the ongoing Department of Homeland Security (DHS) funding impasse, linking the standoff to disruptions at US airports and broader political disagreements over immigration policy.

In multiple Truth Social posts, Trump said the deadlock has forced the administration to take emergency steps, including deploying Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents to assist at major travel hubs.

The President confirmed that ICE personnel have been reassigned to airports to support Transportation Security Administration (TSA) operations, as thousands of TSA officers continue working without pay.

The funding lapse, now entering its sixth week, has contributed to staffing shortages, longer wait times, and operational strain at key airports.

Trump also warned that additional measures, including the possible use of National Guard personnel, remain under consideration if conditions do not improve.

Radical Left distracting from Iran wins

In his statements, Trump tied the domestic funding dispute to the ongoing military campaign against Iran, arguing that political opposition at home is unfolding alongside US operations abroad.

He suggested that the timing of the funding standoff coincides with what he described as progress in the conflict, though he did not provide specific evidence linking the two developments.

The administration has continued to highlight military and strategic developments in the Middle East while addressing domestic challenges related to the DHS shutdown.

Officials have maintained that both issues are being handled simultaneously, with separate teams focused on national security and domestic operations.

Democrats demand amnesty for millions of criminals

Trump said disagreements over immigration policy remain a central obstacle in negotiations to reopen DHS.

He claimed Democrats are seeking changes related to legal status for certain undocumented individuals, while the administration has focused on enforcement and border security provisions.

Lawmakers from both parties have acknowledged that immigration policy remains one of the most contentious aspects of the broader funding debate.

Negotiations have included discussions on enforcement practices, legal protections, and long-term immigration reform.

No final agreement has been reached, and both sides continue to outline competing priorities as the shutdown persists.

National Guard threat for airport help

The President said the administration may escalate its response if airport conditions worsen, including activating National Guard units to support operations.

“I may call up the National Guard for more help,” he wrote, signaling readiness to expand federal involvement in maintaining airport security and logistics.

Officials say the consideration reflects growing concern over staffing levels and passenger delays.

With TSA workforce participation declining and no immediate resolution in Congress, the administration is preparing contingency plans to sustain operations.
