Trump’s confusing fundraising email raises questions over 'sign of advanced dementia'
WASHINGTON, DC: A fundraising email sent under Donald Trump’s name over the weekend has drawn scrutiny and ridicule online after appearing to place the president in the wrong location, sparking fresh questions about his state of mind.
According to multiple recipients, the message opened with a personal and puzzling line.
“It’s Trump. I’m in the Oval Office, & I can’t stop thinking about you,” the email said.
The wording quickly caught attention, not only for its tone but for its apparent claim that Trump was inside the White House, even though he was spending the weekend at Mar-a-Lago.

"It's Trump. I'm in the Oval Office, & I can't stop thinking about you."
Except he's at Mar-A-Lago.
Losing track of where you are is a sign of advanced dementia...
Recipients express concerns
Janice Hough, who described herself as a “proud Dem,” posted about the email on social media, flagging the discrepancy.
“Trump fundraising email tonight: Sat, Jan 17 at 5:13 PM ‘It’s Trump. I’m in the Oval Office, & I can’t stop thinking about you,’” Hough wrote.
She then added pointedly: “Except he’s at Mar-a-Lago. Losing track of where you are is a sign of advanced dementia...”
The comment gained traction as other recipients confirmed receiving the same message.
Axios reporter Andrew Solender also shared evidence from his inbox, posting a screenshot of the subject line.
“I’m in the Oval Office, and I can’t stop thinking about you,” the subject read.
The campaign has not explained whether the email was meant to be metaphorical, pre-written or sent in error.
Trump's health under scanner
The confusion arrives against the backdrop of heightened public discussion about Trump’s health, fueled in recent weeks by commentary from medical professionals and viral clips highlighting physical and verbal lapses.
As previously reported, a medical expert recently claimed Trump may have suffered a stroke, citing video footage and behavioral changes as possible indicators.
That commentary, while disputed, has circulated widely online, intensifying scrutiny of Trump’s public appearances and communications.
The White House has repeatedly said the president is in excellent physical and mental condition.

Bruce Davidson, a clinical professor at Washington State University’s Elson S Floyd College of Medicine, during an appearance on the 'Court of History' podcast, cited a video showing Trump walking down the stairs of Air Force One while holding the handrail with his left hand, despite being right-handed.

Davidson said that the actions were consistent with having had a stroke on the left side of his brain.
