“I lived in a boys dorm in a New England boarding school in the 1980s with a lot of guys like Tim Walz. I saw that guy and I said, ‘You’re a creeper’… for sure…I definitely shouldn't suggest it without evidence. I don't have evidence...”pic.twitter.com/rXDPhWZ7Qe
Tucker Carlson launches tirade against Tim Walz
During the interview with Megyn Kelly, Tucker Carlson did not hold back in expressing his disdain for Tim Walz, labeling him a "creeper" without providing any evidence to support his claim.
"I don’t want to be mean. I’ve already said I don’t want to be mean. But like, that Walz guy is a creep," Carlson began.
He went on to draw from his personal experiences at a boarding school in the 1980s, suggesting that his gut feelings about Walz were enough to label him as such.
"I’m just telling you that as someone who went to boarding school in the ’80s, like I know exactly who that guy is. And I’m sorry. It’s just, you know, I hope I’m wrong. I don’t think I am," Carlson stated.
Megyn Kelly chimed in with her derogatory remark, questioning why Walz was "so obsessed with trans-ing children." Carlson echoed this sentiment, drawing parallels between his boarding school experiences and his perception of Walz.
"Well, I lived in a boy’s dorm in a New England boarding school in the 1980s with a lot of guys like Tim Walz. So I saw that guy. I’m like, 'Oh, wow, I know exactly [who you are], you’re a creeper,' as we used to call him. For sure," he asserted.
Despite admitting that he shouldn’t be making such implications without evidence, Carlson continued to cast aspersions on Walz’s character.
"And I probably shouldn’t, I definitely shouldn’t suggest what I’m suggesting without evidence. I don’t have evidence beyond what I’ve seen," he conceded.
But when Kelly pressed him further, asking if he meant that Walz was "like a pervert," Carlson doubled down, saying, "There’s something wrong with that guy. He’s a weirdo. And you can tell watching him. And I’m sorry, I just lived long enough that I know that your gut level perceptions are rooted in truth."
Carlson did acknowledge that his perceptions might not always be accurate, but that didn’t stop him from continuing his baseless remarks.
"They’re not always precisely true. I’ve gotten many things wrong, like the details are unknown to me, but I look at that guy and I’m like, 'You’re a weirdo.' And everyone’s like, 'Oh, he’s so normal.' No, not normal, sorry," he claimed.
Walz, throughout his political career, has been a staunch advocate for transgender rights and gender-affirming care, according to The Washington Post.
As restrictive legislation targeting transgender individuals began to spread across the United States, Walz emerged as a prominent figure in the fight to protect these vulnerable communities.
