MANHATTAN, NEW YORK CITY: Tucker Carlson faced the wrath of people online after he slammed the justice system and Democrats following the guilty verdict of Donald Trump in hush money trial.

The commentator posted on X, “Import the Third World, become the Third World. That’s what we just saw. This won’t stop Trump. He’ll win the election if he’s not killed first.”

“But it does mark the end of the fairest justice system in the world. Anyone who defends this verdict is a danger to you and your family,” Carlson added.

Donald Trump found guilty in hush money trial

Trump was convicted on Thursday, May 30, on all 34 charges he faced, stemming from a claim that he paid $130,000 to an ex-porn star to hide a sex scandal ahead of the 2016 election.

To make the payment, the Republican leader reportedly forged his business documents.

After the verdict was announced, Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg said, “The 12 everyday jurors vowed to make a decision based on the evidence and the law, and the evidence and the law alone.”

Donald Trump criticized the trial

However, following the jurors' decision, Donald Trump asserted that he was an “innocent” person.

He also stated, “This was a rigged, disgraceful trial. The real verdict is going to be November 5, by the people, and they know what happened here and everybody knows what happened here,” CNN reported.

Another right-wing commentator Matt Walsh also spoke out against the court’s decision.

He wrote on X, “A former president and current presidential candidate was just convicted of 34 felony charges by a jury of his political opponents during an election year based on a novel legal theory where the underlying alleged crime was never clearly explained and without requiring the jury to even reach a unanimous conclusion about it. This was the very definition of a show trial.”

Tucker Carlson asked to ‘stay in Russia’

Meanwhile, Tucker Carlson’s statement in Donald Trump's defense attracted negative attention, with one user asking on X, “What does the third world have to do with the American court system??? They were not the judges! This has nothing to do with immigrants, Tucker. It was American white judges that convicted Trump. FYI.”

Another tweeted, “Please don’t insult the Third World. The Third World is much better.”

“Stay in Russia, you are next pal! Traitors belong in jail!” one person shared.

One social media user asked, “Tucker Carlson? The disgraced Tucker Carlson?!?!?”

“So the justice system is defendable and fair until the rich and the powerful Donald Trump is subject to it and then all of a sudden it is not?” another individual questioned.
