Internet trolls Gypsy Rose Blanchard after she opens up about finding post-prison fame ‘overwhelming’
LOUISIANA, UNITED STATES: Gypsy Rose Blanchard, having gained notable celebrity status on social media, recently opened up to a news outlet about feeling overwhelmed by the fame she has encountered post-prison.
Since her release, Gypsy has been actively exploring the experiences she missed during her time in prison. Notably, she ventured into the world of Instagram, although a post addressing her critics using an outdated meme template drew unintended attention and became a subject of online humor.
In a separate incident, Gypsy made headlines when screenshots of a text feud between her and reality TV star Natalie Nunn went viral. Both parties, however, clarified that the circulated screenshots were fake.
Gypsy Rose Blanchard assert she feels overwhelmed by fame
In a recent interview, per OK Magazine, Gypsy revealed that adjusting to her newfound freedom and navigating social media has been an 'overwhelming' experience.
Speaking to the news outlet, Gypsy expressed, "I feel like a baby bird on the Internet. I’m very new to social media, so when I comment or like someone’s post, I have to realize it will be seen by millions of people."
Acknowledging the power of her substantial platform, she added, "I have this huge platform, which I can use for good. It’s kind of like a superpower. On the downside, there are people making fake accounts in my name scamming people."
As per OK Magazine, dismissing pregnancy rumors, Gypsy said that they are "not true at all." She explained that she bought a "cute little outfit" for a baby as a precautionary measure for the future, in case she and her husband, Ryan Scott Anderson, decide to have children.
However, Gypsy emphasized her current focus on using her platform to share the "wisdom and guidance" she has gained over the years, intending to help others who may find themselves in a "hopeless" situation like she once did.
In addition, Gypsy Rose Blanchard faced intense scrutiny when she recently expressed her perspective to another news source, contending that the criticism from supporters of her ex-boyfriend, Nicholas Godejohn, feels unfair.
Gypsy and Godejohn had been arrested in connection with the murder of Gypsy's mother, Dee Dee Blanchard. While Gypsy was recently released on parole after serving 7 years, Godejohn received a life imprisonment sentence.
