Unruly man arrested at Trump’s Florida golf club after Secret Service confrontation
DORAL, FLORIDA: According to reports, an out-of-control man was arrested at a Florida golf course owned by President Donald Trump by the United States Secret Service after an incident at a security checkpoint.
The incident occurred at Trump National Doral Golf Club, where authorities say the individual allegedly created a disturbance and refused to follow directions from security personnel. The arrest was made about a week after another high-profile security incident at the White House Correspondents' Dinner in Washington, DC.
Suspect arrested after security breach at Trump Doral checkpoint
The unidentified suspect was arrested at a security checkpoint at Trump National Doral Golf Club around 4:15 pm after allegedly causing a chaotic scene, defying orders, and getting physical with a Secret Service agent, according to the Secret Service and the Doral Police Department.

Unclear exactly why he’s been detained, but USSS doesn’t just cuff you for setting off magnetometers

Trump was not on site when the incident unfolded. Video shared online showed the individual being detained and placed in handcuffs near the checkpoint.
Reports indicated that the man had triggered security screening systems, prompting further intervention from officers.
“At no point did this situation impact the established security posture for any upcoming visits to Trump Doral National Golf Club by Secret Service protectees,” Michael Townsend, Acting Special Agent in Charge of Secret Service Miami, told The Post.
Trump security concerns rise after recent incidents
The suspect was later charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest without violence.
Officials said he was taken to the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center in Miami following the incident.
The arrest comes shortly after a separate and more serious security breach at the White House Correspondents' Dinner, where a suspect attempted to breach security with weapons before being stopped by law enforcement.
That earlier incident heightened attention around security protocols for events and locations associated with Trump and other high-profile officials.
Authorities have said the Florida golf course incident did not affect existing security arrangements for future visits by individuals under Secret Service protection.
The incident comes after alleged shooter Cole Allen charged through a security checkpoint at the Washington Hilton while armed with a shotgun, knives, and other weapons in an attempt to assassinate Trump and members of his cabinet during last weekend’s White House Correspondents’ Dinner.
The California teacher is charged with attempting to assassinate the president, transporting weapons across state lines with intent to commit a felony, and discharging a firearm during a crime of violence.
If convicted, the 31-year-old would-be assassin faces up to life in prison.
Officials also emphasized that the situation at the golf course was contained quickly and did not escalate beyond the initial confrontation. The Secret Service said established procedures remained in place and were followed during the response.
