‘Very fake': Nick Fuentes slams Charlie Kirk's widow Erika's conduct after his death

WASHINGTON, DC: Far-right commentator Nick Fuentes has reignited his feud with Turning Point USA (TPUSA), this time directing criticism at Erika Kirk, the widow of slain conservative activist Charlie Kirk.
In a stream on his Rumble account, Fuentes accused Erika of exploiting her new role within the organization and claimed her public displays of grief appeared “performative” following her husband’s murder on September 10 at Utah Valley University.
“I really don’t like how [Turning Point USA] has been handling his death. It’s gratuitous,” Fuentes said, adding that Erika’s status as a widow makes it difficult for critics to call her out.

Only three days after Kirk’s assassination, Erika was named CEO of TPUSA. On September 21, she delivered a speech at the Charlie Kirk Memorial at State Farm Stadium in Arizona.
Fuentes claimed “something’s not right there” and accused her of appearing “over the moon” despite the tragedy. He also pointed to Erika’s Instagram post showing her weeping over her husband’s open casket as another example of “odd” public grieving.
"I am getting this vibe from her that she’s very fake,” Fuentes said

Fuentes slams what he labels as ‘performative grieving’
“Everyone says, ‘Oh everybody grieves differently.’ I don’t know how much mileage we can get out of that one,” Fuentes said.
He continued, “I think they were pushing it when she filmed his dead body. I think they were pushing it when she took control of the organization 72 hours later. I think they were pushing it with the fireworks and the WWE Batista entrance when she gave the eulogy at his funeral.”
Fuentes accused TPUSA of using “promotional ploys” in the aftermath of Kirk’s death, adding that “no one wants to be the a**hole,” but insisted “everyone’s thinking it” about Erika’s post-assassination appearances.

Nick Fuentes’ longstanding feud with Charlie Kirk and TPUSA
Fuentes has long been a critic of Charlie Kirk and TPUSA, arguing the organization was too mainstream in its approach to conservative activism.
Before the FBI indictment of alleged shooter Tyler Robinson, speculation swirled online that he may have been inspired by Fuentes’ content after investigators noted etchings found on the bullet casings. Fuentes later urged his followers not to “take up arms” after the murder.
Conservative Kirk, founder of Turning Point USA, was killed on September 10, 2025, at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah.
The attack stunned the conservative movement and prompted a nationwide outpouring of grief, with tributes pouring in from political allies and supporters.
Federal investigators later identified Robinson as the suspected gunman, indicting him on charges related to the assassination. Kirk’s death not only left a leadership void within TPUSA but also sparked heated debates about political violence.
