NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE: The Army has launched an investigation after military helicopters were seen hovering outside Kid Rock’s home, sparking controversy.

Military helicopters, involving at least two AH-64 Apaches, from the Army’s 101st Combat Aviation Brigade, were flying at an extremely low height close to Rock’s home on Saturday, March 28.

The probe aims to investigate whether proper protocols were followed. The Army helicopters were officially on a training mission when they were seen swerving around the singer’s property in Whites Creek, Nashville, Tennessee.

Kid Rock shares video of himself cheering and saluting at Army helicopters

The video showing Army helicopters flying near Rock’s property, which went viral online in no time, was first shared by the singer on Saturday on X (formerly Twitter).

“This is a level of respect that s**t for brains Governor of California will never know. God Bless America and all those who have made the ultimate sacrifice to defend her,” he captioned the video, which showed him cheering and saluting as the chopper flew very low near his outdoor pool before taking off.

Reacting to the Rock’s comment, a spokesperson for California Gov Gavin Newsom, Izzy Gardon, said, “Waste, fraud, abuse!”

Army investigation seeks to verify if 'regulations' were followed

Now, the Army has launched an investigation to find the circumstances under which military helicopters were seen near a residential property, which purportedly led to a violation of safety standards.

Maj Montrell Russell, a spokesperson for the Army, said in a statement that an administrative review was underway to ascertain whether “regulations” were followed and “airspace requirements” were met.

He assured that the Army will take “appropriate action” if violations are found.

“The Army is aware of a video circulating online that appears to show AH‑64 Apache helicopters operating in the vicinity of a private residence in the Nashville area,” Russell said. “Army aviators must adhere to strict safety standards, professionalism, and established flight regulations.”
