MOSINEE, WISCONSIN: Donald Trump gave a spirited address while on his campaign trail in Mosinee, Wisconsin, expressing support for modifying the 25th amendment of the US Constitution.

On Saturday, September 8, the former president slammed Vice President Kamala Harris for allegedly covering up the “incapacity of the president” and therefore, should be held accountable.

Donald Trump was referring to Joe Biden's withdrawal from the election race, and Kamala Harris for trying to hide the president’s mental fitness, during his heated campaign address.

“I will support modifying the 25th Amendment to make clear that if a Vice President lies or engages in a conspiracy to cover up the incapacity of the President of the United States, it is grounds for impeachment and removal from office,” he said, reported CNN.

Trump added, “You know, think of it — if he didn’t go to that debate, he’d still be,” referencing Biden’s horrific debate performance in June, ultimately making him drop from the race.

Harris and Trump will lock horns on September 10, during their presidential debate.

Internet divided over Donald Trump's call for changing the 25th amendment

A few users seemed to support Donald Trump's suggestion, but some questioned the practicality of it. Many wondered if he'd be able to convince others to go forward in the direction of amendment.

One person shared on X, "Imagine what you can accomplish when you care about your Country. New concept to the left but much needed."

"I’ve not heard that one before. That’s a great idea," another expressed.

A user opined, "Absolutely! Not sure if he himself can do this, but the sentiment is well placed."

"If he does the democrats will make up even more lies and use it against him…," another shared.

One praised Trump, "I am remembering how it felt to have a real President! What is this....oh...It's JOY!!!"

However, one asked, "How? Stop giving false promises and hope to voters! You can’t do nothing as a convicted criminal in prison!"

Another observed, "You could do it now but your GOP majority in Congress is the weakest in history."

"Keep your tiny hands off our Constitution you Anti-American piece of garbage!" a person trolled.
