WASHINGTON, DC: Senator Bernie Sanders sparked a fresh outcry online as he claimed that people will rally around President Joe Biden as Donald Trump is "one of most dangerous" figures in modern history.

On Sunday, January 14, the 82-year-old was appearing in an interview with CNN’s 'State of the Union' when host Jake Tapper asked him whether young Democrats would support the POTUS despite objections over his foreign policy or support for Israel.

"The choice is pretty clear...Donald Trump, who I suspect will be the Republican candidate...is one of the most dangerous political figures in modern American history," replied Sanders, adding, "So I think people will end up rallying around Biden."

He advocated the president should "change course" on Israel, a particularly contentious issue, and expressed an understanding of why voters might not be excited about the prospect of the same two candidates facing off in 2024.

The Vermont Senator noted, "There is no question it is very hard for young people, I think for most Americans, to be excited about what is going on right now."

He asserted, "The president has got to change course. He has been very clear. He has expressed his concern about 'indiscriminate bombing'. He has asked [Israeli Prime Minister] Netanyahu over and over again to change course," according to the Messenger.

Sanders' latest comments came after he issued a grave warning to President Biden, noting that the reelection of the GOP front-runner Trump would be undesirable for the nation.

In an interview with the Guardian, he said, "It will be the end of democracy, functional democracy," adding the former president would make it harder for young people and people of color to participate in the political process, as well as unleash anger against minorities and immigrants.

Additionally, the Vermont Senator stated that he believes Trump will take office again in a far more radical manner than he did in the first round.

"He’s made that clear. There’s a lot of personal bitterness, he’s a bitter man, having gone through four indictments, humiliated, he’s going to take it out on his enemies," noted Sanders.

he asserted, "We’ve got to explain to the American people what that means to them — what the collapse of American democracy will mean to all of us."
