White House releases photos of Trump, Rubio, Vance monitoring Iran strikes

Photos show Trump and senior aides tracking joint US-Israeli strikes on Iran, with Vance and others coordinating in the Situation Room

WASHINGTON, DC: The White House on Saturday released photos showing Donald Trump and several of his key advisers closely monitoring joint US-Israel airstrikes on Iran as part of 'Operation Epic Fury,' officials said.

The images, shared on the official White House account on X, capture Trump alongside senior Cabinet members reviewing military updates, while Vice President JD Vance and other officials appear in a separate Situation Room photo in Washington.



Trump seen with top officials overseeing Iran operation

One of the released photos shows Trump, dressed in a suit jacket, white shirt, and white “USA” baseball cap, seated at a table with Secretary of State Marco Rubio and White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles. Behind them, a partially obscured display marked “Operation Epic Fury” is visible. 



Their expressions appear serious as the US and Israel carried out strikes earlier in the day against Iranian targets. The White House did not disclose the exact location of Trump’s meeting but described it as part of his oversight of the operation.

Additional images show members of the national security and defense team reviewing briefings. In one frame, Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Dan Caine is seen addressing officials as updates came in.

Vance and Cabinet members gather in White House Situation Room

A separate set of photos shows Vice President Vance inside the White House Situation Room in Washington. He is joined by Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, and other Cabinet officials. 



Energy Secretary Chris Wright appears in some frames with his back to the camera, while the vice presidential seal is visible on the wall.

The images suggest a divided command setup, with Trump monitoring developments from outside Washington and senior officials coordinating from the Situation Room.

Trump monitors strikes from Mar-a-Lago

Presidents have often released Situation Room images during major military moments. One widely known example came in 2011 when Barack Obama shared a photo taken during the US raid that killed Osama bin Laden in Pakistan.

Trump, however, was not inside the Situation Room during the latest Iran operation. Instead, he monitored the strikes from Mar-a-Lago, continuing his practice of operating from the Florida residence during key moments earlier this year.
