LOS ANGELES, CALFORNIA: While Hollywood rushed to support Jimmy Kimmel after ABC canceled his show over remarks about Charlie Kirk, country singer Chris Janson reacted differently.
The 39-year-old Missouri native didn’t hold back, taking the moment to jab at Kimmel and celebrate the show’s cancellation. Why? Kimmel once mocked Janson’s song 'Good Vibes,' and the singer hasn’t forgotten.
Chris Janson jabs Jimmy Kimmel over 2019 'Good Vibes'

On Thursday, September 18, Chris Janson posted a video from one of Jimmy Kimmel’s past monologues, showing the 57-year-old late-night host mocking Janson’s performance on 'Fox & Friends'.
“I played this d-bag’s show in LA a while back, it was fine,” Janson wrote, referring to Kimmel. “Later, I played in NYC on @foxandfriends singing ‘Good Vibes’…..it was then that he decided to make fun of me for doing it."

He ended the post with a sharp jab: “@jimmykimmellive, you got exactly what you deserve. Who’s the moron now?”
The clip shows Kimmel introducing Janson’s 2019 single 'Good Vibes.' As Janson sang lyrics like, “I ain’t watchin’ TV today / Bad news, it can just stay away / If you ain’t got anything good to say / Then shut your mouth / I got my windows down and my blinders on / Radio set to my favorite song…,” Kimmel interrupted, mocking the performance by changing the lyrics to, "Got my head up my butt like a big moron," and encouraged the audience to sing along.
Janson clearly remembered the insult.

Nexstar Media Group suspends Jimmy Kimmel

Nexstar Media Group announced on Wednesday, September 17, that it would pull Jimmy Kimmel off the air “indefinitely” following controversial remarks about the killing of political influencer Charlie Kirk.
Jimmy Kimmel claims "We hit some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it" and "This is not how an adult… pic.twitter.com/KMhnskaYWD

During a Monday night episode of 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!,' Kimmel criticized Republican reactions to Kirk’s death, saying, “We hit some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it.”
Andrew Alford, President of Nexstar’s broadcasting division, called Kimmel’s remarks “offensive and insensitive” and said keeping him on air was “simply not in the public interest at the current time.”
