FLORIDA, US: At 10:04 pm on Friday, Liv Morgan was taken into custody. This piece will now examine what the WWE Wellness Policy has to say about an arrested celebrity.

She was detained for "possession of marijuana (not more than 20 grams) and possession of drug, possibly synthetic cannabinoid."

Will WWE punish Liv Morgan?

Morgan's arraignment and plea hearing are scheduled for February 12, 2024. She faces a maximum one-year prison sentence in Florida for each of the charges. How the trial proceeds is still to be seen.

Liv Morgan might face consequences from WWE for her arrest. Due to an injury, she has been out of the ring for some time.

The repercussions of being arrested for drug use, possession, acquisition, sale, or distribution are spelled out in the WWE Wellness Policy.

According to the policy, the WWE star might face an instant firing in such a situation, SportsKeeda reported.

Nevertheless, since this is Liv Morgan's first arrest of this kind, the severity of the charges against her will be determined by WWE, not the authorities, so Liv Morgan won't necessarily be fired. Other penalties, like suspension, might be applied instead.

Additional fines may also be imposed based on results from marijuana tests. It will be interesting to see how the company handles the fact that the star is not in the ring.
