LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Fox News host Jesse Watters has ignited controversy with his recent allegations regarding Judge Juan Merchan, who is presiding over the hush money case involving former President Donald Trump in New York.

Watters made bold assertions suggesting a conflict of interest, alleging that the judge's family has ties to the Biden campaign and other prominent Democratic figures. These claims have stirred up a storm of debate, with critics questioning their veracity and implications for the ongoing legal proceedings.

Gag order and financial ties

In his remarks, Watters asserted that Judge Merchan had imposed a gag order on Trump, preventing him from discussing the judge's family.

"Trump is banned from talking about the judge's family. Why? Because the judge's family was paid by the Biden campaign. The judge's family is currently being paid by Adam Schiff, over $10 million," said Watters.

Political affiliations and fundraising allegations

Furthermore, Watters claimed that the judge's daughter is a Democratic consultant whose clients include the Biden campaign and Schiff, both of whom are allegedly fundraising off Trump's indictment.

"Trump isn't allowed to say that the judge's daughter is a Democrat consultant whose clients, the Biden campaign, Adam Schiff, are fundraising off Trump's indictment," he added.

Jesse Watters' assertion that the judge's family stands to financially benefit from Trump's trials, coupled with the judge's continued involvement in the case despite the alleged conflict of interest, raises serious ethical and legal concerns.

"The judge's family is getting rich off Trump trials, and he's presiding over one. And if Trump's convicted, his family financially benefits. And instead of recusing because of a glaring conflict of interest, the judge is gagging Trump for pointing out the conflict of interest,” said the host.

Criticism mounts as Internet slams Watters' allegations

Jesse Watters' remarks on Fox News regarding Judge Juan Merchan's alleged ties to Democratic figures have sparked a flurry of reactions on social media.

One user commented, "Fox looking for another lawsuit."

Another added, "Great job Jesse. It doesn’t have to be true. It just needs to be what the MAGA people want to hear. Savage your ratings!"

One user replied, "You are a damned liar and should be sued into oblivion."

Another said, "I love Jesse but his weird stuff on weird people im not buying it."

Someone else replied, "Another defamation lawsuit incoming. The last one cost Tucker his job, I guess you're next?"
