Malik's first post for this year's Halloween celebration featured a carousel of images and videos showcasing his transformation into the fictional character.

The 33-year-old singer wore a bright orange suit paired with a polka-dot tie. He also sported hand tattoos as he recreated the distinctive appearance of Carrey's character. The pictures showed him flaunting the look from different angles, giving fans a closer look at the elaborate makeup and styling.

Along with revealing the final transformation, Malik also shared glimpses of the behind-the-scenes efforts that went into creating the look. He acknowledged the team responsible for helping him recreate the character and bring the Halloween costume together.

He captioned the post as “Shombody shtop mehhh..” referring to the decades-old movie's famous line, before adding, “big thanks to @gothamfx & @rbfxmakeupgallery.”

The singer continued to channel the character's exaggerated personality throughout the video, giving followers another look at his Halloween celebration.

He captioned the reel also as “Shombody shtop mehhh.”

'The Mask' was released in 1994, starring Carrey and Cameron Diaz in titular roles. The 64-year-old actor was seen in the character of Stanley Ipkiss, a bank employee, who turns into “a manic superhero when he wears a mysterious mask,” as per IMDb.

Zayn Malik calls out people for surrounding his car

Meanwhile, Malik’s Halloween look reveal came months after he got embroiled in a controversy. In May, a video went viral that showed a large crowd surrounding his vehicle as he struggled to open the door. The 'One Direction' member appeared angry and frustrated.

Later, he reportedly said, “Let's just get the facts straight - the fans were and always are respectful and amazing. The issue was the multiple fully grown men that were blocking the doors of the hotel and the car for 10 minutes not letting us or security out - they are not fans they are stalkers that show up wherever someone they want to meet is and do the same thing to everyone to try to get content.”

Zayn Malik thanks fans after cancelling tour performances

Earlier this year, Malik also faced health issues and had to cancel several US tour dates and scheduled Dublin and Birmingham performances.

In April, he reportedly shared, “To my fans: Thank you so much for all the support and love you've shown me on the album release and more importantly your love, prayers, and well wishes for my health. I've felt it, and it's meant the world.”
