VIRGINIA BEACH, VIRGINIA: The disappearance of 2-year-old Zuri Dorsey is making headlines, prompting law enforcement to issue an Amber Alert in a desperate attempt to locate the toddler.

Reportedly, the child was allegedly taken from her bed by her father, identified as Deandre Alante Dorsey.

This distressing incident unfolded in Virginia Beach, where the toddler is believed to be in "extreme danger", having been abducted by her estranged father in the middle of the night.

Following the event, the Virginia Beach Police Department swiftly disseminated the child's and suspect's photos across various networks, urging immediate action to locate the vulnerable child.

What happened to Zuri Dorsey?

Zuri Dorsey, hailing from Virginia Beach, Virginia, is feared to be in "extreme danger" as her estranged father, Deandre Alante Dorsey, is suspected of abducting her in the middle of the night. 

Last seen at her residence on Sapphire Drive in Virginia Beach, the Virginia State Police issued an Amber Alert, expressing concerns for Zuri's well-being. Dorsey, 27, is believed to have taken Zuri on December 9 around 7:15 am, wrapping her in a jacket as she was only dressed in underwear.

Authorities urge law enforcement and the public to be on the lookout for a red 2016 Honda Accord with North Carolina plate RAZ 9972, as it is likely the duo is traveling to Lewiston Woodville, North Carolina, or Lawrenceville, Virginia in this vehicle as per sun.

Description of Zuri and suspect in Virginia Beach 

Zuri, a toddler weighing 34 lbs and measuring two feet tall, possesses brown hair and brown eyes. 

Initially clad in red and white striped pajamas, an update from the State Police suggests she might now be wearing green pajamas adorned with a Santa Claus print.

Her father, Deandre Alante Dorsey, is described as a Black male with brown hair and brown eyes, standing at 5'11 and weighing 160 lbs. 

At the last sighting, he wore a black hoodie and jogger pants.

Dorsey has six outstanding warrants in Virginia Beach and has Type 1 diabetes; however, it remains uncertain if he has medication with him.
