1. American gymnast Simone Biles and NFL player Jonathan Owens

Celebrated gymnast, Simone Biles, married Chicago Bears player Jonathan Owens in 2023 in Houston. The NFL star didn't know who Biles was when they matched on the dating app Raya. The gymnast, who won one bronze and four gold medals at the 2016 Rio Olympics and a bronze and a silver at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, messaged Owens first.

2. Australian swimmer Emma McKeon and actor Cody Simpson

Australian actor Cody Simpson started dating swimmer Emma Mckeon in April 2022, and the couple confirmed their relationship in July of the same year. McKeon won gold, two silvers, and a bronze medal in the 2016 Rio Olympics, as well as four gold medals and three bronze medals in Tokyo in 2020. Cody is a swimmer but did not qualify for the Australian swimming Olympic trials.

Actress Gabrielle Union met American basketball player Dwyane Wade in 2007 when they co-hosted a Super Bowl party; however, they did not start dating right away. American snowboarder Shaun White is the recipient of three gold medals from the 2006 Turin Olympics, the 2010 Vancouver Olympics, and the 2018 PyeongChang Olympics. He met Canadian actress Nina Dobrev in 2019 for an event. Though they had dinner together, White only realized Dobrev was a celebrity when someone asked for a picture.

5. British diver Tom Daley and producer Dustin Lance Black

Tom Daley won his first Olympic medal, a bronze in London in 2012, after debuting in the 2008 Beijing games. In the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, he won gold and bronze. Daley met screenwriter/director/producer Dustin Lance Black in 2013 at a dinner party in Los Angeles conducted for his Kids' Choice Award win celebration. The British diver had no knowledge of who Black was but gave his number anyway. The couple got married in 2017.

6. Tennis player Naomi Osaka and rapper Cordae

Japanese tennis player Naomi Osaka, who made her Olympic debut at the 2020 Tokyo games, has been dating rapper Cordae since 2019. They crossed paths at an LA Clippers game while seated in the nosebleeds. Initially, Cordae didn't know Naomi since he wasn't familiar with tennis.

Tennis player Andy Roddick represented America in the 2004 Athens and 2012 London games. According to the model's 2017 interview with Tennis Channel, the Olympian first noticed Decker on a show on Sports Illustrated. "I was hosting a show for football for Sports Illustrated, and he watched it every week, and he got his attorney to call my agent at the time, and I thought it was very shady as one would. And I did not call him back for five months. I was living in New York at the time, and my now-manager said to me, 'You have no friends; all your friends are in North Carolina, where I grew up, and why don't you call this guy? I hear he's really nice," she said. The couple got married in 2009.
