While Super Bowl 2024 was a festival for football lovers, cinephiles also got a chance to celebrate the event. Many film trailers dropped during Super Bowl LVIII that was held at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada, on February 11.
1. Wicked: Part 1
The musical fantasy movie will be released in November, and stars Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande. They will be seen as witches Elphaba and Glinda, respectively, in Jon M Chu’s directorial.
2. Deadpool & Wolverine
The two iconic Marvel Comics characters, Deadpool and Wolverine, have come together for a film which will release on July 26. Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman will be seen as Deadpool and Wolverine, respectively, in the movie directed by Shawn Levy.
3. Kung Fu Panda 4
'Kung Fu Panda 4' is reportedly set to hit theaters in March 2024. It’s a sequel to the 2016 movie. The synopsis of the film says, as per IMDb, “After Po is tapped to become the Spiritual Leader of the Valley of Peace, he needs to find and train a new Dragon Warrior, while a wicked sorceress plans to re-summon all the master villains whom Po has vanquished to the spirit realm.”
4. A Quiet Place: Day One
It's an apocalyptic horror film that is reportedly a prequel to ‘A Quiet Place’ series. The June 2024 movie directed by Michael Sarnoski features Lupita Nyong'o, Joseph Quinn, Denis O'Hare, Alex Wolff, and Djimon Hounsou.
5. Inside Out 2
'Inside Out 2' is the sequel to the 2015 film of the same name. The movie will feature the voices of Lewis Black, Amy Poehler, Tony Hale, and Phyllis Smith as well as Liza Lapira and Maya Hawke.
6. The Fall Guy
Directed by David Leitch, ‘The Fall Guy’ stars Ryan Gosling, who is also the co-producer of the movie. The action comedy film will also see Emily Blunt, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Winston Duke, and Hannah Waddingham in important roles.
7. Despicable Me 4
The upcoming animated comedy movie will be released in theaters in July. As per IMDb, the old members “Gru, Lucy, Margo, Edith, and Agnes welcome a new member to the family, Gru Jr, who is intent on tormenting his dad" in this endearing franchise.
8. Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes
The science fiction action movie is the fourth movie in the 'Planet of the Apes' reboot series. It will be released on May 10, 2024, starring Owen Teague as Noa and Freya Allan as Nova.
9. Twisters
‘Twisters’, set to be released in July, is the sequel to the 1996 ‘Twister’. This time, the movie will feature new cast members, including Glen Powell, Daisy Edgar-Jones, and Anthony Ramos.
10. Monkey Man
'Monkey Man' is a film directed and produced by Dev Patel. The movie will also see Patel in the lead role of “an anonymous young man who unleashes a campaign of vengeance against the corrupt leaders who murdered his mother and continue to systemically victimize the poor and powerless,” as per IMDb.
