Internet weighs in as Taylor Swift teases 'The Tortured Poets Department' with her favorite number
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Pop sensation Taylor Swift has recently revealed her belief in and affection for the power of the number 13.
She even incorporated her lucky number into the promotion of her upcoming release. Aligning with this principle, the 34-year-old 'Karma' singer made sure to highlight the 13-day mark until the launch of her new studio album.

'The Tortured Poets Department,' Swift's 11th album of her illustrious career, is scheduled to be released at midnight on April 19.
According to the Daily Mail, Swift reminded fans to pre-order the album in a throwback video she shared on her Instagram Stories. The video features an antique typewriter gradually typing out the message.
"13 days until THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT," the message reads once it's finished, ending with someone hitting the "return" key and scrolling up one line.

Since she was a child, the 14-time Grammy winner has been fascinated by the idea that the number 13 is auspicious.
According to People, she became captivated by it when she learned that her birthday fell on a Friday the 13th and that her actual birthdate is December 13. Ultimately, her 13-second entrance to her first number-one country hit single was released.

This week, Swift's efforts to promote her new album gained momentum when SiriusXM announced the creation of a channel just for her.
Appropriately named Channel 13 (Taylor's Version), the title references her favorite number and her latest reissues.
It appears representatives at Sirius XM ensured a connection to the number 13 by launching the channel 13 days before her album release.
SiriusXM announced in a press release that the 13th day of the channel, Friday, April 19, coincides with the release of Taylor Swift's new album 'The Tortured Poets Department.'
The release said, "Channel 13 (Taylor's Version) will be playing the full album beginning to end continuously throughout the weekend."
Since unveiling 'The Tortured Poets Department' during her acceptance speech at the 2024 Grammy Awards ceremony on February 4, Swift has been promoting her upcoming album.
Since the Grammy Awards, Swift's team has been sharing tidbits of information and song teasers about her forthcoming album on her social media accounts.
Fans have since learned that the lyrics on 'The Tortured Poets Department' will explore five stages of heartbreak: denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance.
On Friday, April 5 Swift shared five playlists with Apple Music one for each of those stages, with each playlist containing songs from her past albums.
'The Tortured Poets Department' will be released at midnight on April 19.
