LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM: Legendary English soccer player David Beckham is elated to meet actor Michael J Fox at this weekend’s BAFTA Awards in London, as per Gossip Herald.

“I cannot believe I got to meet Michael J Fox ❤️ and also a little starstruck to meet so many talented people that I’ve watched on the big screen at @bafta tonight,” the 48-year-old star penned on Instagram alongside a photo of him grinning ear-to-ear alongside the 62-year-old Fox.

“Delighted to present the outstanding debut by a British writer, director or producer award to Savannah Leaf, Shirley O’Connor & Medb Riordan for Earth Mama,” the six-time Premier League champion also wrote in the post’s caption.

Fox, who was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 1991, attended the BAFTAs with his wife of 35 years, Tracy Pollan. He received a standing ovation when he took the stage to present the award for best film at the awards ceremony to close out the night.

Beckham later shared a photo of him and Fox on his Instagram stories, telling his followers that he was over the moon to have met the 'Back to the Future' star in person. "Sorry have to post again I haven’t been this starstruck in a while,” Beckham wrote in a caption above the photo of him and Fox smiling.

Beckham is one of the most famous English athletes in history, having become a familiar face in advertisement campaigns following the end of his playing career. The former Manchester United star, who shares four children with wife Victoria Beckham, most recently appeared in a Super Bowl ad alongside Friends stars Jennifer Aniston and David Schwimmer.

David Beckham also posted photos with several other celebrities 

David Beckham's super stardom does not mean that he is not giddy when he meets Hollywood’s biggest stars. Besides posting back-to-back photos with Fox, Beckham also shared a photograph of himself posing with 'Earth Mama' director Savanah Leaf, as well as a photo of him sitting near 'Poor Things' star Emma Stone and 'Maestro' actor Bradley Cooper during the awards show.

Victoria Beckham says it will be wonderful if she becomes a grandmother, but 'it’s not happening just yet'

Meaww previously reported that Victoria Beckham has high hopes to become a grandmother one day. 

During an interview with Vogue, in which the better half of David Beckham discussed the advice she gives her children, Brooklyn, 24, Romeo, 21, Cruz, 18, and Harper, 12, Victoria reacted after the outlet asked her if she is “excited to be a grandmother” and whether she will be stepping into that role anytime soon.

“Oh, Jesus! What?,” the 49-year-old said shockingly as she proceeded to grab her collar and fan herself. “Hang on. I don’t think it’s happening just yet,” she continued, as per Independent. “Unless you guys know something that I don’t, it’s not happening just yet,” she added.
