NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: ‘Today’ host Sheinelle Jones recently shared a note she wrote to herself six months ago reflecting on the “amazing” meditation retreat she went to in July last year.

This came as Jones was featured in the latest edition of Women’s Health magazine on the Breakthrough page.

She also talked about her experience running in the New York City marathon and how it helped her change her mindset.

Jones took to Instagram to share her accomplishment. She captioned the post, “Can you believe it?! If you would’ve told my 15 year old self I’d be featured in Women’s Health Magazine for *running* … she would not have believed you! Goodness my 30 year old self wouldn’t have believed it either!”

She continued in the caption, “But you know what, my *45* year old self believed she should go for it. Running the marathon was a BREAKTHROUGH in so many ways. Training for so many months, I got to know myself in a beautiful way … one mile at a time. ”

In the clip, Jones said, “Of course, I love stuff like that so I'm bringing it up because I thought maybe you'd like to do it too because it's pretty cool.”

She suggested the idea of composing a note, either detailing one's current emotions or expressing aspirations for how one hopes to feel six months down the line.

The unique twist involves entrusting the letter to a friend with instructions to send it in six months, creating a thoughtful and introspective journey through time.

She continued in the clip, “You get it on a day like this, Lord knows I need it. It's nice to receive a love note and even nicer when it's from yourself."

She expressed, “It says, 'Hi, me. I hope you're still feeling the effects of this amazing renewal. You set out to be renewed and in this moment, you truly are. Let me remind you about this trip.’”

“And then I go on and on about all my moments that I feel like I learned something about myself. Anyway, it's a nice little treat to give yourself as you start the new year. So I would highly recommend giving it a try,” Jones continued.

After embarking on her inaugural solo trip, Jones shared a laid-back selfie clad in a bathrobe, describing her experience at the wellness spa as "transformative."
