SAN BRUNO, CALIFORNIA: AC/DC has achieved yet another milestone by reaching one billion lifetime views on the YouTube platform.

The rock band’s 1980 hit ‘Back in Black’ was uploaded in November 2012 and on Wednesday, January 31, it made it to the ‘billion-views club.’

‘Thunderstruck' was the first song to make the cut

This is the group’s second song to hit one billion views, the other being ‘Thunderstruck,’ with 1.39 billion views.

‘Back in Black’s song opens up with guitar riff and singer Brian Johnson’s signature staccato vocals, reports Variety.

The famous song has been featured in several movies and TV shows, including Iron Man’, ‘Megamind', ‘Spider-Man: Far From Home’, ‘Family Guy’, and ‘Supernatural.’

Earlier, guitarist Angus Young told Rolling Stone that during the release of the album ‘Back in Black, not many expected it to be such a big hit.

“With Brian [replacing Bon] in the band, we were going into the unknown, so we didn’t know how it was going to be received… The people who were doing our management at the time told us, ‘You might sell a couple of million or something if you’re really prominent.’ And they were shocked that it had sold so much,” he shared.

Songs in one billion lifetime views on the YouTube

Excited fans also reacted to the new milestone of AC/DC's song, "Could it be because some college age kids use it as a drinking game? Every time the word Thunder is heard…….drink. Any truth to this?" one wrote.

The second said, "Best thing about AC/DC? If you like one of their songs you will like all of their songs!"

"This is my favorite AC/DC song. I think it's the opening guitar riff that gets me then the growling vocal creep," tweeted the third.

A curious fan asked, "just wondering how much revenue AC/DC received from a billion views of a single video."

Other songs from the same era that are in YouTube’s billion-views club, are  Guns N’ Roses’ 'Sweet Child O’ Mine,' George Michael’s 'Careless Whisper', A-ha’s 'Take On Me', Michael Jackson’s 'Billie Jean', Rick Astley’s 'Never Gonna Give You Up', Cyndi Lauper’s 'Girls Just Want To Have Fun', Europe’s 'The Final Countdown', and the Police’s 'Every Breath You Take.'
