Adam Lambert shows off his lean frame months after he admitted to using weight loss drug
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Singer Adam Lambert reportedly showed off his lean frame during his appearance on the Tuesday, November 5, episode of 'Today' in New York City.
The 42-year-old former 'American Idol' contestant had previously been open about using a weight loss drug, Mounjaro, which helped him lose 60 lbs, the Daily Mail reported.
Adam Lambert looks snatched during his appearance on 'Today'
Adam Lambert walked into the studio of the morning talk show on Election Day dressed in a vibrant blue blazer and a pair of loose-fitted trousers, the publication shared. The suit was paired with a blue sweatshirt underneath.
The dress was accessorized with chunky, black loafers and blue-rimmed shades, along with multiple rings and mismatched earrings.
The Grammy-nominated looked lean and healthy, with a snatched jawline during the show while discussing his Broadway experience.
Back in March, Lambert revealed to his fans that he used medication to lose weight during an Instagram Live session.
"I'm dropping some tea on you guys right now. I've been on Mounjaro for the last I think, what, eight months?" he shared in the clip that was later shared over TikTok. "And I've lost almost 60 pounds. I feel amazing. I still eat, but I eat lighter, and I eat less."
According to the Daily Mail, Mounjaro is used to treat type 2 diabetes and it helps lower blood sugar levels in individuals. The singer did admit that his blood sugar levels had been near diabetes levels.
"And I know that there's a lot of chatter about, 'Oh, you're taking it away from diabetes patients.' I mean, quite frankly, that's the pharmaceutical industry's issue, not mine. They need to keep up with production," he added.
After taking the drug, Lambert insisted, "I feel better, I feel more confident. I feel, my actual body feels better. My digestive system feels more regulated."
Adam Lambert discusses his Broadway appearance on 'Today'
During his appearance on 'Today', Adam Lambert shared his experience of taking over Eddie Redmayne in the Broadway musical 'Cabaret'. He plays the role of the Emcee in the production.
"It was definitely on a short list of parts I've always wanted to play. Mainly because he's just weird and wild and wonderful," shared the singer. "It's a bit of an abstract character. He's kind of like a narrator, he welcomes the audience in and guides them through this story."
The synopsis of the show on Playbill reads, "It’s 1931 Berlin, and inside the Kit Kat Klub, British nightclub singer Sally Bowles keeps the delirious party raging. But no amount of booze, music, and dancing can slow the ominous march of a changing Germany as it draws ever closer."
