WASHINGTON, DC: An adorable video of a Secret Service officer carrying a toddler who squeezed through the White House fence has gone viral.

According to the New York Post, the child was quickly returned to their parents without any issues.

This incident isn't the first of its kind; in April 2023, another toddler managed to slip through the metal fencing on the North Lawn and was later reunited with their parents, who were briefly questioned.

A 43-second video clip shared by journalist Tyler Smith shows a Secret Service officer carrying a child from the fence.

Secret Service Chief of Communications Anthony Guglielmi explained that the young trespasser had squeezed through the North Lawn fence around 6.30 pm on Wednesday, March 26, just after President Donald Trump announced his new auto tariffs from the Oval Office.

The video captures the officer, armed and calm, gently carrying the toddler in a blue hooded sweatshirt and black pants toward his parents.

Throughout the nearly minute-long footage, the boy, quietly holding onto the officer, even used one hand to rub his neck, prompting a smile from the officer as he patted the child’s shoulder.

As the officer adjusted his hold on the boy, he eventually handed the child off to another officer at the 32-second mark. The video ends just before the handover to the parents, but Guglielmi later clarified in a social media post, "Officers quickly reunited the child with their parents without incident."
