Al Pacino's whopping child support payment to ex-girlfriend Noor Alfallah for their son Roman revealed
BEVERLY HILLS, CALIFORNIA: Al Pacino has been known to have relationships with some big names in the industry over the years. He has dated famous names such as Beverly D'Angelo in the '90s and Lucila Sola from 2008 to 2018.
Notably, his most recent relationship was with Noor Alfallah in 2022, with whom he has a son named Roman, who was born in 2023. Since their split, the duo has been co-parenting their son, with 'The Godfather' actor paying a whopping sum of money every month to Alfallah in child support.
Al Pacino pays $30,000 per month in child support
Al Pacino pays a whooping sum of $30,000 per month, that's $360,000 every year, to his ex-girlfriend Noor Alfallah in child support for their son Roman, Business Insider revealed in 2023.
Interestingly, Pacino was skeptical that Roman was his son when Alfallah revealed to him that she was pregnant. He was 83 at the time, while Alfallah was 29.
The 'Scarface' actor reportedly asked Alfallah to take a paternity test to be sure he was, in fact, the baby's father, according to The List.
Moreover, Business Insider also mentioned that Pacino agreed to put $15,000 in Roman's college fund annually and would also contribute apart from the monthly child support and the money for college.
It also includes a one-time fee of $110,000, which would help with the cost of Alfallah's move and Roman's medical costs.
Even though the $30,000 a month sum seems super steep, it is the standard for Hollywood child support as Tom Cruise paid Katie Holmes $400,000 per year, or about $33,333 monthly leading up to their daughter Suri Cruise's 18th birthday, according to TMZ.
Moreover, The New York Times reported in 1991 that Donald Trump had to pay Ivana Trump $650,000 a year for their three children at the time - Donald Trump Jr, Ivanka Trump, and Eric Trump. That would be over $125,000 monthly in today's age, according to The List.
Al Pacino describes marriage as 'an entrance to the pain train'
In October 2024, during an interview with People, when asked if he is involved in a relationship, Al Pacino responded, "No. I have a friendship."
Notably, his representative echoed this sentiment and said, "Al and Noor are very good friends, have been for years, and are co-parents to their son Roman."
Pacino delved deeper into his personal life and penned his thoughts on relationships in his memoir 'Sonny Boy'. He addressed his well-known aversion to marriage and described it as "an entrance to the pain train".
He explained in his book, "Everything's a ticket to the pain train. A ticket or nothing. Are you going to go or not? No, I'll stay here. I'll stay here at the station, I'm not getting on."
Notably, Pacino admitted that marriage can work for some people but he never felt it was right for him. He wrote, "I just didn’t feel it ever suited me for some reason."
He continued, "I loved living together, and then... It depends on who you are getting along with. If you live together with someone, there's got to be... You have to have this communion. If you don't, it's almost an invasion."
