WASHINGTON, DC: Rep Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has lashed out at the Republican presidential ticket, accusing Donald Trump and his running mate, JD Vance, along with their GOP allies, of promoting what she calls an "incel platform," that is "obsessed with repressing women."

This outburst follows the Ohio senator's controversial remarks about Democratic presidential frontrunner Vice President Kamala Harris, whom he labeled a "childless cat lady." The Squad leader didn't hold back, describing the GOP duo as "creepy" and "abnormal" in a flurry of insults directed at the Trump-Vance campaign.

AOC calls Republicans ‘abnormal’

"Being obsessed with repressing women is goofy," AOC posted on X, in response to former Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy's attempt to fire back at the Harris campaign’s criticisms of Republicans as “weird.”

"Trying to watch what LGBTQ+ people do all the time is abnormal. Punishing people who don't have biological offspring is creepy. It's an incel platform, dude. It's SUPER weird. And people need to know."

Incel is a term often used derogatorily to describe men who are unable to form romantic relationships or find sexual partners.

The New York Democrats’ comments were prompted by a post from Ramaswamy who argued, "This whole 'they're weird' argument from the Democrats is dumb & juvenile."

"This is a presidential election, not a high school prom queen contest. It's also a tad ironic coming from the party that preaches 'diversity & inclusion.' Win on policy if you can, but cut the crap please," the former candidate's post said.

JD Vance’s ‘childless cat ladies’ remark fuels ongoing political feud

Nevertheless, the political clash has indeed been marked by peculiar jabs from both sides. The GOP's vice presidential nominee Vance recently drew ire for his 2021 comments on Tucker Carlson's show, where he labeled Democratic leaders, including Harris, as "a bunch of childless cat ladies" who are "miserable" and intent on spreading their misery.

“We are effectively run in this country… by a bunch of childless cat ladies who are miserable at their own lives and the choices that they’ve made, and so they wanna make the rest of the country miserable, too,” Vance said at the time.

“It’s just a basic fact. You look at Kamala Harris, Pete Buttigieg, AOC [Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez], the entire future of the Democrats is controlled by people without children.” The provocative statement elicited responses from notable figures such as 'Friends' star Jennifer Aniston, pop star Kesha, and Harris' step-daughter Ella Emhoff

Harris, who is married to longtime entertainment lawyer Doug Emhoff, has two stepchildren, Ella and Cole Emhoff. Kerstin Emhoff, the ex-wife of Doug, also stepped in to defend the VP.

JD Vance doubles down on past remarks claiming critics have misinterpreted his words

Furthermore, the 39-year-old Marine veteran defended his comments on 'Sunday Night in America with Trey Gowdy,' accusing critics of distorting his words. "If you look at what the left has done, they have radically taken this out of context and, in fact, aggressively lied about what I’ve said," Vance said.

"What I do think is true, Trey, and this goes to the heart of what I was talking about three years ago in those comments, but it’s going to be something I continue to talk about, is that the left has increasingly become explicitly anti-child and anti-family."

Gowdy pointed out that many respected leaders, from George Washington to former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, were childless.

"So I think you will agree with me that direct offspring are not necessary to be fully invested in the future of this country," the Fox host said. "Of course not, Trey. I do think that being a parent actually has a profound effect on somebody’s perspective and we should honor and respect that," Vance added.

"But there are a whole host of people who don’t have children for a whole host of reasons. And they certainly are great people who can participate fully in the life of this country."

Netizens react to AOC attack on JD Vance and Republicans

Social media users are weighing in on the controversy surrounding JD Vance and the GOP, with many expressing strong divided opinions of their platform

"JD Vance gives me the ick," said a user.

"But @AOC is right, its not only weird but “cringe.” #Harris2024 #Harris24," added another.

"Correct, the GOP got Super Weird," chimed a third.

"You want men to compete with women and you think men can become women… but you can’t define a woman… That is all super weird and repressive," said a user.

"Call them out!!! Just cause a bunch of you got together and decided to be weird together doesn’t make it normal. MAGA is a CULT FULL OF WEIRDOS," penned an individual.

"Being a lying democrat is goofy! Trying to lie to the American people all the time, as democrats do, is abnormal. Punishing people who are too smart to buy into democrat lies is creepy! It’s an incel platform, dudette. It’s SUPER weird. And people need to know YOU are LYING!" read a tweet.

"Trying to watch what LGBTQP+ people do *in front of children is mandatory," added another.
