PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA: Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez did not miss the chance to mock Donald Trump after he faced Kamala Harris during their first presidential debate on Tuesday, September 10.

Comparing Trump to an uncivilized guy, the left-wing politician wrote on X, “He sounds like a guy yelling at random people on 34th Street with a karaoke speaker.”

When MSNBC host Chris Hayes wrote below her post, “Most of them more interesting!”, AOC replied, “1000%.”

Kamala Harris and Donald Trump debate over economy and cost of living

Both Donald Trump and Kamala Harris argued on several points during the more than 90-minute debate hosted by ABC News and moderated by David Muir and Linsey Davis at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia.

The event included no live audience and was “an intimate setting for two candidates who have never met,” as per ABC News.

One of the most important and the first issues raised during the debate was “the economy and the cost of living” in the US.

Harris answered it first by stating, “I was raised as a middle-class kid. And I am actually the only person on this stage who has a plan that is about lifting up the middle class and working people of America.”

She continued, “And that is why I imagine and have actually a plan to build what I call an opportunity economy. We know that young families need support to raise their children. And I intend on extending a tax cut for those families of $6,000, which is the largest child tax credit that we have given in a long time.

“My passion, one of them, is small businesses. I love our small businesses. My plan is to give a $50,000 tax deduction to start-up small businesses, knowing they are part of the backbone of America's economy.”

Donald Trump accuses Kamala Harris of making ‘incorrect statement’

Kamala Harris, 59, then went on to attack Donald Trump as she noted, “My opponent, on the other hand, his plan is to do what he has done before, which is to provide a tax cut for billionaires and big corporations, which will result in $5 trillion to America's deficit. My opponent has a plan that I call the Trump sales tax, which would be a 20% tax on everyday goods that you rely on to get through the month.”

But Trump countered her by mentioning, “First of all, I have no sales tax. That's an incorrect statement. She knows that. We're doing tariffs on other countries. Other countries are going to finally, after 75 years, pay us back for all that we've done for the world.”

Netizens agree with AOC and call Donald Trump ‘a mess’

Meanwhile, social media users agreed with Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's remarks about Donald Trump after his first presidential debate with Kamala Harris.

“That's a perfect description! His ranting and raving does bear a striking resemblance to a street corner provocateur, doesn't it? The karaoke speaker analogy is especially apt - all volume, no substance, and a hint of off-key chaos,” one social media user tweeted.

Another wrote, “The comparison suggests that Trump's statements, when not based on verified facts, can seem as erratic and ungrounded as someone shouting random claims in a public space. This highlights concerns about the credibility and impact of such assertions.”

One person noted, “Damn. That’s accurate!”

“I don’t think I could ever hope to describe him better myself, Representative Ocasio-Cortez! Yet another reason why you’re a brilliant woman who is an excellent role model for the next generation,” one individual commented.

“Surprised he doesn’t have his Maga hat on the floor collecting change!” another sarcastically shared.

“He’s a mess. Yelling. Insulting. He’s lost it,” one X user remarked.

Another tweet read, “I'm almost embarrassed for him. Almost.. 🤭.”
