Ali Krieger confirms new romance with 'wonderful' Jen Beattie a year after divorce
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Ali Krieger, 40, has officially shared the news of her relationship with Jen Beattie, 33, delighting fans with an Instagram post on Thanksgiving on Friday, November 29.
Beattie first hinted at the romance with a cozy snapshot of the pair enjoying wine, captioned, “Thankful for you. Happy Thanksgiving my love @alikrieger.”
Krieger then reposted the image with a touching response: “You have no idea...”

Ali Krieger's announcement on Thanksgiving confirms what she had teased earlier this year.
On the 'She Pivots' podcast in July, the retired US Women’s National Team (USWNT) star opened up about dating someone new, according to People.
At the time, she chose not to name her partner, explaining, “I’m dating a wonderful person right now, who I really, really like. I’m so grateful that we met.”
In September, Krieger said, "[With] everything I went through last year, I want to keep that more so for me and for her."
"I think it's really important that I take this process slower, have a good concern for it and make sure that it's moving in the right direction before any big announcement," she added.
Ali Krieger's split from Ashlyn Harris
The revelation of her new romance comes after Ali Krieger took deliberate time to heal following her divorce from Ashlyn Harris.
Reflecting on the end of their nearly four-year marriage, Krieger explained on the podcast that she allowed herself to grieve before starting a new relationship.
“It gave me time from when [Ashlyn] left to really focus on obviously soccer and finishing my career, but then healing my wounds and kind of licking my wounds so to speak," she said.
“I think, now, eight, nine months down the road has given me time to grieve and to sort through all those feelings,” she added
In September 2023, Harris, 39, filed for divorce.
The couple, who married in December 2019, share two children, daughter Sloane and son Ocean.

Since the split, Harris has moved on with actress Sophia Bush, while Krieger has embraced this new chapter in her personal life.
