ALEXANDRIA, VIRGINIA: Ali Krieger has had a tough year, but she is not giving up on her happiness.
The soccer legend retired from the US Women’s National Team in March 2023 and divorced her wife Ashlyn Harris.

Ali Krieger admitted that she faced the “most broken version” of herself this year, but she also found her strength.
“I’m actually in a healthy space,” she said. “I’m still processing everything in real-time. I feel like I can get through anything, and I am so ready for this next phase.”
She also said that she felt like the universe had sent her a gift, and she was ready to take it, US Weekly reported

Ali Krieger said that she was not in a rush to find a new partner, as she wanted to work on herself and her children, Sloane, 2, and Ocean, 17 months.

She said that she wanted to be a complete Ali before entering a new relationship and that she did not want to bring all of her past trauma into it.
“When I’m ready and open for the next person to come into my life, I want to feel like I’m giving my full self,” she said.

“I know that I’m not there yet. So, I think 2024 is going to be just me continuing to put myself first and work on myself.”
She added that she was excited for the new year and that she would be open to what’s next when she felt ready.

“I came off the field, in the locker room, and I was obviously devastated,” she said. Krieger canceled the rest of her day and just went home.
“Then my teammates just started walking through the door,” she says. “All of them. At different times. Until 2 in the morning…"
"My kids were there, we all were there. And that’s something that I will never forget.”
