HAITI, CARIBBEAN: YouTuber and Twitch streamer YourFellowArab aka Addison Pierre Maalouf, who was allegedly kidnapped and held for ransom in Haiti, has apparently been released, with 400 Mazowo gang leader Lanmo Sanjou claiming to have let him go at no ransom.

Twitch streamer Lalem posted on X that his brother and fellow content creator was kidnapped in Haiti while planning to film a video in the country. This was despite the US Department of State advising Americans not to visit the country.

What happened to YourFellowArab?

YouTuber YourFellowArab is well known for visiting different parts of the globe and doing interviews with individuals from all backgrounds. However, during the trip to Haiti, he was allegedly abducted and held captive for ransom. Arab claims he was detained against his will for more than two weeks before being freed.

"I was kidnapped purely for the color of my skin,” he claimed. “Can’t give any more detail till I’m home, but all I will say for now is Glory be to God.”

Arab claimed he was “in the middle of a Haitian Desert 60 minutes away from any civilization in a concrete shack surrounded by barbed wire,” and was held there until he was ultimately released.

He described the situation as "cameraman never dies," while other content makers urged him to simply return to streaming 'Fortnite'. It has recently come to light that Arab's release was orchestrated by Lanma Sanjou, the head of the 400 Mawozo gang. Jimmy "Berbecue" Cherizier, a notorious gang member, is said to have been the one who secured his release, despite the initial belief that he was involved in the kidnapping.

Uncaptured News’ Dan Cohen posted a video with YourFellowArab and his fixer sitting with Sanjou, with the two of them appearing unharmed after the events that transpired.
