The talented dancer’s death was ruled a suicide, a devastating event that has left her family, friends, and fans in deep grief.

'America's Got Talent' pays tribute to Emily Gold after backlash

The season 19 finale of 'America's Got Talent' aired on September 17, shortly after Emily Gold's death.

Many viewers anticipated a special tribute to Gold during the episode, given that the show had previously honored departed contestants.

However, the show did not address her death on air, which led to significant backlash from viewers on social media platforms, particularly on X (previously known as Twitter).

On X, one person remarked, "This was the ending tonight and the show didn't even pay tribute to Emily Gold. Shame on you @AGT."

Another said, "Like sorry to go on a whole rant about this, but this show doesn't shy away from talking about s**t. The moment a suicide happens, there's no acknowledgement about it? Y'all acknowledged Nightbirde on the show when she died from cancer, but can't do the same for Emily Gold?"

"Maybe they could have done a tribute for emily gold," wrote one person. Another added, "This was the ending and they didn't even address it. Shame on them."

One individual remarked, "I also wished that @AGT@AGTAuditions paid tribute to Emily Gold, who died last Friday."

Despite not mentioning Gold during the broadcast, the show later paid a tribute to her on their social media accounts.

The show's official X account shared a touching tribute to Gold by stating, "The AGT Family sends out our heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, and team members of Emily Gold. She was a bright young soul and will be deeply missed."

This message was accompanied by a heartwarming photo of Gold smiling and proudly holding up an 'AGT' sign.

Gold's parents, Steven and Brandy Gold, also shared their sorrow in a heartfelt Instagram post.
