She added that they have “gone through a year of hell” and that they have fought for their love.
Holmes said that he is the “happiest and healthiest that I’ve been in my life," and that he is in love with Robach and planning a life with her.
“Relationships are hard, they’re messy, they’re not perfect. We have fought for love, and I can say I have never been happier. I am with my best friend,” Robach said.
How was Amy Robach and TJ Holmes' relationship exposed?
Their romance was made public in early December 2022 when tabloids reported about their workplace affair. The Daily Mail first exposed their "steamy "relationship despite reportedly being "married" to the respective spouses at the time.
The publication published a series of photographs of the pair cozying up at NYC Bar and the pair spending a romantic weekend in Upstate New York bar alone. They were also seen touching and holding each other's hands while getting in an Uber.
As the situation got complex, ABC News president Kim Godwin decided to temporarily pull them off of 'GMA3' while the network conducted an internal investigation.
"These decisions are not easy, they are not knee-jerk, but they are necessary for the brand and for our priority which, you guys know, are all of us — the people here at ABC,” Godwin told employees on a conference call at the time as per reports.
They were officially sacked in January 2021, by an email announcement sent to staff at the network. “After several productive conversations with Amy Robach and TJ Holmes about different options, we all agreed it’s best for everyone that they move on from ABC News. We recognize their talent and commitment over the years and are thankful for their contributions,” the email stated.
Amy Robach and TJ Holmes were going to reveal their relationship to 'GMA' administration after divorce clean-up
"To be clear, we were outed as being in a relationship, but everyone else thought we were being outed as adulterers — being outed as cheating on our spouses — and it wasn’t the case,” Holmes claimed. “We both at that point were in divorce proceedings," Robach said.
She said, they “had attorneys and mediators [and] were in the middle of divorces.” She said that when the first PDA pictures of them both surfaced, she had been estranged from ex-husband Andrew Shue for three months and Holmes had been living apart from ex-wife Marilee Fiebig from summer of 2022. They said on the podcast that they were planning to reveal their relationship to ABC management in January once their respective divorces were “cleaned up.”
When did Amy Robach and TJ Holmes launch their new podcast?

Coincidentally, its December 5 launch day comes exactly one year after Godwin made the call to put them on hiatus. “That is bottom line and that is why we are here now,” Holmes said.
They said that they hope to share their stories and experiences with their listeners and to have honest conversations about life, love, and everything in between.
“A lot of you understand that life, love, marriage, relationships can be messy and usually are,” Holmes said. Robach said that they are rooting for love and that they are happy together. “In the end, all of us are always rooting for love,” she said.
