BUCHAREST, ROMANIA: Controversial internet figure Andrew Tate has ignited a storm on social media by announcing his intention to return to the US after Donald Trump's victory in the 2024 presidential election in a social media post.

The tweet, made on Wednesday, November 6, quickly went viral, triggering a wave of reactions that ranged from excitement and skepticism to outright sarcasm. Tate, who holds dual US and UK citizenship, wrote on X (formerly Twitter), "I'm moving back to America."

Andrew Tate is among many who have turned to social media to express their joy over Donald Trump's win in the 2024 presidential election. The controversial influencer posted a series of tweets on X after Trump was projected to win. Rather than congratulating Trump, he expressed optimism about the outcome, Newsweek reported.



 

In one of the tweets, he wrote, "Trumps back fellas. Get on your A game."

Tate, 37, is currently under house arrest and awaiting trial on human trafficking charges in Romance. His brother Tristan Tate, 36, and two Romanian women have also been arrested on similar charges.

Romania's Directorate for Investigating Organized Crime and Terrorism (DIICOT) is probing allegations of human trafficking, establishing an organized criminal group, and tampering with statements, against him, spanning from 2014 to 2024. Additionally, the Tate brothers are wanted in the UK for assault allegations.

Tate, an ex-kickboxer and self-described advocate for "men's rights," has resided in multiple countries recently due to legal challenges and social media platform bans.

He has emerged as a divisive character, garnering a following that lauds his opinions, while others condemn him.

Andrew Tate's plan to move back to US receives mixed reactions online

As Andrew Tate's tweet about wanting to relocate to the US went viral on X, social media users brutally trolled him and urged him to remain where he is.

One X user, "Not a “lib.” I just don’t like how you talk to women. So please stay where you are if you please."



 

Another commented, "Sorry, we're full. We'll get back to you sometime later."



 

"We’re sending you back," said one critic.



 

Pointing at Tate's criminal records, another asked, "They're not gonna allow criminals ryt??"



 

One person questioned, "Why'd you leave in the first place? And what makes you think we'd want you back? No loyalty. No admittance."



 

On the other hand, many of his fans expressed excitement and welcomed his plans to return to the US.

One fan said, "Welcome back."
