What does Andy Cooper find most annoying about Anderson Cooper on 'NYE'?
Ahead of co-hosting SiriusXM's '10th Annual Radio Andy Holiday Hangout' with Amy Sedaris on December 19, Thursday, 56-year-old Andy Cohen spoke with People about his holiday plans, his love for radio, and the most annoying habit of his friend, 57-year-old Cooper, that he has to endure during every 'New Year's Eve' broadcast.
“Well, (it’s) that I have to be the straight guy,” said Cohen. “Literally, he's in a puddle of giggles for the last 90 minutes of the broadcast, and I'm the one that's hitting all the commercial breaks.”
“I kind of turn into Mr CNN for the last 90 minutes, and he turns into Mr Bravo. It's a very funny role reversal," he added.
Cohen is best known for hosting Bravo's 'Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen', and as the executive producer of 'The Real Housewives' franchise.
Anderson Cooper reveals his favorite part of hosting 'New Year's Eve' with Andy Cohen
Ahead of Andy Cohen's friendly jibe at Anderson Cooper, the latter had his fun while appearing on the December 16 episode of 'Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen'.
When a viewer asked him about the "the most annoying thing about working with Andy on New Year's Eve," Cooper slyly replied, "Just who he's gonna insult and what the clean up on aisle 3 is gonna be in the morning."
The joke referred to an incident in 2021 where Cohen claimed he was served too much alcohol during the live event which led to him mocking a competing broadcast on the ABC network hosted by Ryan Seacrest.
Cohen reportedly called Seacrest's show a “group of losers,” and landed in hot water the following day.
He did regret his action, stating on 'The Howard Stern Show' days later, "I really like Ryan Seacrest and he's a great guy and I really regret saying that and I was just stupid and drunk and feeling it."
