Patricia Arquette expressed her shock over David Lynch's death during live interview
On hearing the news, Patricia Arquette, who worked in the late director’s 1997 cult classic 'Lost Highway' and plays Harmony Cobel in 'Severance', responded, "I was feeling like I needed to see David. David was really incredible. There’s nobody like him."
Executive producer and director of 'Severance' Ben Stiller added, "I actually used to live across the street from him in Los Angeles. Very kind guy, from the times that I used to see him and, like, going trick-or-treating by his house."
Internet says Andy Cohen breaking the news of David Lynch's death in front of Patricia Arquette was 'inappropriate'
But people online were not happy with how Andy Cohen broke the news of David Lynch's death.
One wrote, "Wild that he would ask that when he clearly knew Patricia Arquette worked with David Lynch. I can’t believe he said that in the middle of whatever that was for shock effect in his show. David Lynch deserve better than his death being used as a podcast fuel."
Another said, "I have a strong feeling Andy has never seen a David Lynch film," while a person declared, "I don’t like him at all. Love Patricia though."
"I hope Andy never break news to anyone ever again!!" an individual expressed.
"Insanely inappropriate. To break that news to someone who knew and loved him in a public interview. Disgusting frankly. So dehumanizing. S**ts awkward and weird. Whatever the production team was trying to accomplish doing this, it didn’t work," a comment read.
"I don’t understand why interviewers do this. So insensitive," one more wrote, while another person added, "What poor taste. Not the way to share news like that."
