Andy Cohen reveals Joan Rivers would 'beg' him to get Botox, but he has 'never' opted for it
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Andy Cohen has opened up about his stance on Botox suggesting he is all natural.
During a recent interview, the 56-year-old shared that the late Joan Rivers used to encourage him to consider cosmetic procedures, but he has remained steadfast in his decision to stay natural.
Andy Cohen says he hasn't undergone any cosmetic techniques
While talking about his career and hosting duties on 'Watch What Happens Live', Andy Cohen shared his thoughts on beauty standards, and plastic surgery.
Cohen spoke to Elizabeth Day on her 'How to Fail' podcast and revealed that Rivers often suggested Botox during their friendship.
“I’ve not touched [my face]. I’ve never even had Botox,” Cohen said on Wednesday, November 20.
He added, “Joan Rivers, before she died, used to beg me to get Botox," US Weekly reported.
Cohen compared himself to other male talk show hosts, many of whom are around his age or younger.
“Every guy that I know who's hosting a TV show, mainly all of them are younger than me or about my age. They all have had Botox,” Cohen said. “I look at their foreheads. I’m like, 'Your forehead does not move.'”
He joked about the contrast. “How about that? The gay guy is the one that doesn’t have the Botox! Wait a minute,” he said, referring to himself.
Andy Cohen says he might consider Botox in future
While Andy Cohen insisted he hasn’t had any cosmetic work done, he acknowledged that it might be something he would consider later.
“I haven’t done it yet. It's not something that I think I need to do. I don't know who I would be doing it for,” he shared, adding that he might try Botox at some point.
“I will probably do it soon, maybe. I don’t know,” said Cohen.
Cohen also shared a humorous encounter with a group of gay men who had overdone plastic surgery.
“I said to my friend who brought them … ‘This is like Botched,’” Cohen recalled. “‘This has to stop. Your generation, what are you doing to yourselves? Like, you’re handsome young men. Stop this.’”
He added, “I think people need to get a hold of themselves.”
