Anna Delvey demands apology from Whoopi Goldberg and 'The View' for criticizing her ‘DWTS’ casting
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Anna Delvey is calling for an apology from ABC’s 'The View' after co-host Whoopi Goldberg made a statement she claims is inaccurate.
On Thursday, the talk show’s hosts criticized both Delvey and the network for casting the convicted fraudster — who deceived businesses and individuals out of more than $250,000 by pretending to be a wealthy heiress — in the reality competition 'Dancing With the Stars'.

Whoopi Goldberg criticizes Anna Delvey’s 'DWTS' appearance
Whoopi Goldberg expressed her frustration, saying, “She still owes people money. I don’t understand why she gets to stay [in the US]!”
In response to Goldberg's comments, Delvey issued a statement to Page Six on Friday, stating, “While you are entitled to your own opinions, you should at least get your facts straight. I served my time and paid everyone back in full three-plus years ago. Looking forward to your on-air correction. Stay nasty, ladies, but don’t forget to vote Sept. 17!”
The date Delvey referenced is September 17, when fans will have the opportunity to vote for her debut performance on 'Dancing With the Stars'.

Public outcry over Anna Delvey’s ‘Dancing With the Stars’ appearance
Public reaction to Anna Delvey's inclusion in 'Dancing With the Stars' has been notably harsh.
One user wrote, "She's a criminal not a "star" How low has this show sunk? It should be boycotted for having her on. I didn't think she paid back her victims but even so, she should be deported and not to be on tv and get this opportunity like what she did was a joke."
Another user commented, "I can’t stand Delvey. Paid back or not paid back, she’s a disgrace. A convicted felon does not belong on DWTS. But I guess if a felon can run for president, what can you do? If she’s right, however, Whoopi owes her an apology."
One user replied, "Is this show so desperate that they have to promote this grifter? WTH?"
Another person added, "If she thinks she will ever get an apology from Whoopi. She is dumber than her being on “DWT wannabe STARS” is!!😂"
One added, "DWTS is trash. Gives money to criminal contestants like that bim bow daughter of Lori Loughlin."
