Anna Wintour 'personally' guiding Lauren Sanchez for Met Gala debut as she thinks she has 'poor taste'

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Jeff Bezos' fiancee, Lauren Sanchez, is set to make her Met Gala debut next week. 

The once-budding TV star, who has risen to astronomical fame thanks to her relationship with the Amazon founder, is getting a personal makeover by the event's host Anna Wintour, 74, as claimed by some sources. 

While Sanchez is known for an envy-worthy lifestyle, her sartorial choices have not impressed many, and it seems Vogue's editor-in-chief is one of them.

An insider with direct knowledge of the situation recently claimed to journalist Amy O'Dell that Wintour is "personally helping" Sanchez to choose her dress for her much-awaited Met Gala debut as the famous host believes she has "poor taste, as per DailyMail. 

The source mentioned that the pair is "choosing between custom looks by Oscar de la Renta and two other designers."

They continued, "Anna doesn't always get personally involved in what guests wear," but is stepping in this time as the Vogue editor is aware of Sanchez's "poor taste."

Met Gala, which takes place on the first Monday of every May, is scheduled for May 6 this year. The event that sees Hollywood celebrities dressed in their finest, is considered fashion's biggest night by many. 

This year's theme for the gala is "The Garden of Time."

The billionaire’s girlfriend has made a name for herself by flaunting dramatic looks which often get subjected to criticism from her fans.

Recently, for a dinner at the White House, Sanchez opted for a dark red lace corset dress, which didn't sit well with many netizens. 

One said, "Love the new hair and dress beautiful but does seem a little inappropriate for a dinner at the White House with the Japanese Prime Minister. They are pretty proper. Just my opinion."

Someone else commented, "I love the hair..but not so much the dress. Not the right dress for the occasion."

In another instance, Sanchez received flak after she showed up at the Vanity Fair Oscar After Party wearing a bright red tulle gown with an extremely low-cut neckline.
