In the video, Hathaway interacts with fans as she leaves her car, with the crowd cheering her name and requesting selfies.

The clip shared by X user Oli London captures a moment where numerous people line the streets, eager to take photographs with Hathaway. However, rather than hurriedly posing for selfies, Hathaway patiently stands, allowing fans to take pictures of her alone, waving and smiling.

In an attempt to manage the excited crowd, Hathaway speaks in Italian, and then conveys in English, "I cannot take photos with everyone but I will stand here and wave if you would like to take a photo. I cannot sign, there's too many of you."

She adds an apology in Italian, saying, "Mi dispiace," and in English, she continues, "But I want you to have something so if you'd like I'll just wave a little bit."

Expressing gratitude, Hathaway acknowledges the understanding of the crowd, saying, "Thank you for understanding, thank you for waiting."

Despite her efforts, one eager fan persists in requesting a selfie, prompting Hathaway to kindly decline, explaining, "I cannot take it with you cuz then I have to take one with everyone, there's so many but I thank you so much."
