Anthony Edwards requests DNA test by 'neutral laboratory' a day after Ayesha Howard welcomes baby girl
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Minnesota Timberwolves player Anthony Edwards has asked for a DNA test from Ayesha Howard just one day after she welcomed a baby girl.
According to documents obtained by Us Weekly, Edwards, 23, filed a motion related to a paternity suit he initiated against Howard in September, a story first reported by In Touch.

The paperwork, submitted on October 15 — the day after Howard's delivery — requests DNA testing to be conducted by a “neutral and licensed laboratory” to confirm Anthony Edwards' paternity.
Edwards and Howard are yet to comment on the development.
Edwards recently began his fourth NBA season after winning a gold medal with Team USA at the 2024 Paris Olympics this past summer. He previously filed a paternity suit in Georgia in September, but Howard has not yet been served with the papers.
In that suit, Edwards requested genetic testing for the unborn child. If the results confirm his paternity, he seeks an order to establish the baby's legal status and secure child support.
The documents state that Edwards is unaware of any other individual having physical custody or visitation rights related to the child. Earlier this year, he and his girlfriend, Shannon Jackson, welcomed their first daughter, Aislynn, in March.
Reports indicate that Edwards may also be the father of two other children born to different women in 2023.

On October 22, Ayesha Howard announced the birth of her daughter on Instagram, writing, “Golden girls ✨💜👑 10/14,” which is believed to be the baby’s birth date.
She shared a photo of the newborn with a large purple heart covering the baby’s face, captioning it, “Momma doll baby 🥹.”

In another post, Howard described the challenges of childbirth, saying, “It was painful, but I did it, and within 15 minutes 🥹 my girl was 8 lbs 💕 can’t wait to tell you all about it.”
She did not share any details about the baby's father. After her announcement, friends and followers congratulated Howard on her new arrival.
