Anthony Hopkins admires friend Ian McKellen's 'unbreakable spirit' amid 'X-Men' star's London stage fall
LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM: Ian McKellen has a friend to lean on.
The X-Men star, who took a fall on London stage on Monday, June 17, was seen along with his friend Anthony Hopkins in latter's Instagram post.

Hopkins and McKellen were seen dancing together on 'Dance Me to the End of Love' by Leonard Cohen.
McKellen chose a flat cap while dancing next to Hopkins in the same checkered jackets.
"Today I celebrate my dear friend, Ian and his unbreakable spirit… I love this man," Hopkins said.
“We both have our Gucci on...”🕺🏻🕺🏻 Thank you, Salma ❤️” he wrote while giving a shoutout to his friend Salma Hayek.
McKellen was at the ‘Player Kings’ show at Noel Coward theater in London when he tumbled during a fight scene, according to BBC.

"Thank you to our audience and the general public for their well wishes following Ian’s fall during this evening’s performance of Player Kings,” the statement read.
“Following a scan, the brilliant NHS [National Health Service] team have assured us that he will make a speedy and full recovery and Ian is in good spirits,” the producers of the play told People.
McKellen, too, issued a statement. “Since the accident, during a performance of Player Kings last night, my injuries have been diagnosed and treated by a series of experts, specialists and nurses working for the National Health Service,”he stated, reported the outlet.
“To them, of course, I am hugely indebted. They have assured me that my recovery will be complete and speedy and I am looking forward to returning to work,” the 85-year-old said.
