Jeffrey Limmer worked as an associate at the Houston office of Lewis Brisbois, specializing in personal injury and insurance law.  He pursued his education at South Texas College of Law and the University of Texas at Austin. His biography also highlighted his love for outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing, skiing, biking, and running.

According to his sister Jennifer Thomas, it was typical of her brother to try and calm down in tense situations.

She explained, "Knowing Jeff, he’s the one who always says, ‘Calm down. It’s not that big of a deal,’ and divert the situation, He’s always wanted to fight for the little guy and do the right thing."

Thomas mentioned that Limmer lived close to McDonald's and often visited there, "He loved fiercely his family and friends, Always laughing, making jokes, and just loving life."

Limmer's friend, Greg Monteverde, claimed, "Utilizing cuss words and other profanities, Jeff stepped in to try and de-escalate the situation try and calm him down."

He added, "I thought it was brave. I respect it. I think a lot of us knew Jeff to be that type of individual. In school, he would invite somebody who wasn't the most popular student to a party or things like that."

He concluded, "He's in Heaven. He's looking down on all of us, saying it's going to be OK."

Anyone with information regarding Landry's location is urged to contact the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or provide anonymous tips to Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
