Ari Lennox asks Dreamville to release her as she blasts label for ‘playing’ with her: 'I'm so tired'
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Ari Lennox recently said that she wants to end her relationship with her label while blasting Dreamville Records and Interscope Records. She accused them of “playing” with her and making her the “face of mental health.”
The 33-year-old singer launched into a rant against the music labels on social media after her song ‘Smoke’ was released allegedly without her consent, reported Allhiphop.com.
Ari Lennox accuses Interscope and Dreamville of manipulating her

“I’m OK and I’ve never been happier. What I don’t like is being signed and lied to and manipulated. Not one person at those labels ever knew how to market or protect me,” she alleged.
The ‘Pressure’ hitmaker also claimed that her label has constantly let her down. “This industry stuff will never be for me,” she asserted.

The caption of the video read, “I want out of my contract @interscope @dreamville I tried I really did,” as she said, “It’s not okay so I just want to be released and it’s just that simple. And I’m tired of being nice and I was trying to do everything the right way but now I’m p#####.”
“This was my final straw. I have communicated effectively and no one cares, so we’re here, in toxic-a** social media world,” she asserted.

In her post, Lennox revealed that she “didn’t want this recent video to come out because I’m tired of people treating me like I’m the face of mental health.”
The songwriter, whose real name is Courtney Shanade Salter, also mentioned that she did not want people to feel “sorry” for her as she stated, “I’m a human being who has just been very transparent about my life.”
“I just wish I had a label that cared, that would want to protect me. I wish I had a label that wouldn’t have me out here trying to explain why I need advertisement for my record,” Lennox added.
