'I think she is incredible': Selena Gomez admits Ariana Grande's music 'empowers' her

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Selena Gomez is a fangirl when it comes to Ariana Grande’s music,

The Texas native on Wednesday, January 12, revealed that she admires the works of fellow singer-actress Ariana.

Selena showed up on SiriusXM Hits 1 as a guest DJ and talked about how the ‘Thank U, Next’ singer, 30, has a playlist with her pal’s songs to lift her mood. 

Gomez played Grande's 2019 single ‘7 Rings,’ and said, “Here’s another song I love, Ariana Grande. I cannot do anything fun without listening to Ariana.”

“I feel so empowered, and I think she is incredible, and I just have so much fun,” the 31-year-old continued.

“I’m the girl that’s playing Ariana all the time, and I think people kind of notice that, but I love it! I think she’s amazing," she said. 

Grande took a break of three years, after releasing her last album 'Positions.'

Finally, the ‘Wicked’ star made a comeback with a high-spirited new single, 'Yes, And?' and also with a music video.

The ‘Dangerous Woman’ hitmaker shared a fun teaser on Instagram before the song release where her fans gossiped about her return.

“Real exclusive, typical Ari” one wrote. “I think I liked her better when her ponytail was a few centimeters higher," said another.

Grande is dating Ethan Slater currently, and one fan said, "Well I read it on the internet so it must be true.”

Interestingly, Gomez announced over Instagram Story that she will be away from social media "for a while" and "focusing on what really matters."

She wrote this over a picture of boyfriend producer Benny Blanco, as he lays on the ground outdoors playing with two small children. 

The two announced their relationship in December. Gomez is “super happy and present” amid the new romance, said a source to People.

"She seems to be really feeling herself at the moment. Maybe that's Benny or maybe that's just where she's at personally and professionally," it said.

"Everyone was a fan of hers before Only Murders [in the Building], and now everyone is protective of her. With her cast and crew, the feeling is ‘any boyfriend of Selena’s is a boyfriend of ours,'" the insider continued.
