FOXBOROUGH, MASSACHUSETTS: Kristin Cabot, Chief People Officer of Astronomer, has officially resigned from the company, becoming the second top executive to exit following a viral incident at a Coldplay concert that drew widespread attention across social media.

The move comes just days after Astronomer CEO Andy Byron also stepped down amid growing scrutiny over the incident.

Her profile has since been removed from the “Meet the Team” page on the company's website.

The scandal erupted last week after footage surfaced showing Cabot and Byron canoodling during Coldplay’s performance at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts. The pair appeared to be caught off-guard by the concert’s “Kiss Cam,” with Cabot turning away and covering her face, while Byron quickly ducked out of the camera frame.

The moment, captured on the venue’s jumbotron, prompted a quip from Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, “Either they’re having an affair or they’re just very shy.”

The video quickly gained traction online and sparked speculation and backlash, particularly because both Cabot and Byron are married. Shortly after the video went viral, both were placed on administrative leave as Astronomer initiated an internal review.

Kristin Cabot, the former Chief People Officer at Astronomer, has been photographed for the first time since resigning from her high-profile role following a viral “Kiss Cam” incident with then-CEO Andy Byron at a Coldplay concert in Boston.

The 52-year-old was spotted outside her $2.2 million home in Rye, New Hampshire. Dressed in a light pink athletic set and jacket, Cabot was seen watering plants as per the photos captured exclusively by the Daily Mail.

Notably absent from Cabot’s appearance was her wedding ring, which had been visible in older social media posts but was also missing during the now-infamous Coldplay concert appearance.

Her husband, billionaire rum CEO Andrew Cabot, an heir to the $15.4 billion Cabot fortune, was reportedly overseas in Asia on business when the scandal broke and returned over the weekend. He has not been seen at the property.

The status of the couple’s marriage remains unclear, with sources telling the New York Post that Andrew Cabot came back to “a family in crisis.” Despite the media frenzy, Kristin has yet to make a public statement, and new “No Trespassing” signs have appeared on the property’s driveway.

Internet reacts after Kristin Cabot resigns following viral Coldplay concert scandal

The fallout from the now-infamous Coldplay concert kiss cam moment continues as Kristin Cabot, the former head of HR at Astronomer, officially stepped down from her role, a move that sparked a storm of reactions online.

One user commented, “She took some time to negotiate a severance package.”

Another added, “Hope her husband had her sign a prenup.”

A more reflective comment read, “I kinda worry about their mental health. They suck & destroyed their families obviously but they’ve lost everything. Careers. Spouses. Good names. The affection of family. Probably each other. I don’t know how I feel about it anymore. It was such a slam dunk story now it’s sad.”

One wrote, “If anyone should know better, it’s the head of HR.”

Another didn’t hold back, “She can never be trusted to be an HR executive again. She deserves as much scorn and derision as the dumb CEO. Idiots.”

One joked, “She didn't even have a chance to hit on the new CEO.”
